Well, as you recall, I posted about those two vendors in luna that were selling duped items to no end. Really blatant. Well, obviously their vendors got taken down with the latest bannings, but unfortunately the owner of those vendors has not been dealt with. I just saw her running around about 10 mins ago. What's up with that? I dunno what the agenda here is, but it would seem to me that allowing someone like that to continue playing is rather silly. Oh, and this isn't the first time she's been caught either... she had vendors selling the same duped items on ice island a few months ago.

I read your last post regarding this particular vendor house, and followed the story on the day the vendors were removed.

Directly after the vendors removal (all vendors in that house), there were 8-12 avatars within reassembling the vendor mall. The items for sale now are from POST removal of the vendors. I have no information regarding if they are duped or not.

I questioned when you said they were blatently duped items, however, they were all in fact removed. I do not know how to ID duped items, but apparantly you were correct.

OPINION:
If the owner had two or more accounts, and the duper was not the house owner, I would think there would be no penalty for the player you saw in game. But what do i know, heh?

I was going to say the same thing. Maybe she owns the mall and rents out vendors?

I'm no expert at being able to spot duped items, but I know what to look for. No legit vendor is going to be selling all those event items. I mean, it's one thing to have one, maybe two tops, and then on top of that, to be selling them for what they're actually worth, but to be selling several event items for about 40% less than what they should be, is a tip off. Also, any vendor that sells numerous lvl 11 arties, is always under suspicion, which these vendors were doing. I always kept a close eye on them, and when an item was sold, let's say an orny for example, the item would be restocked within hours. Now I travel through doom, and I know no one farms there anymore, so to be able to restock your "rare" arties like that is hard to do, especially that quickly.

In any case, if you're aware and keep a good eye out, duped vendors, or atleast suspicious ones are not as difficult to spot as you might think. It just ticks me off since I've been shadowing this girl for a while now, and she never seems to get punished for her actions. She may not be a duper, but she knows she has duped goods, and continues to try to sell them, so in my eyes that's just as bad as being a duper.

Just for examples sake: Drug dealers don't grow the drugs, they distribute them, which is bad. This girl a dupe dealer, and she should be punished.

One more note, she could have more than one account, which is more than likely, but vendors are account specific, and the character I saw her use to restock her duped vendors was the same character I saw today running around.

How do you feel about someone who was selling 50 valorite hammers on E bay not too long ago, and mentioned in a list of 'banned accounts', now mysteriously disappeared from Stratics, having banner ads on these forums?

I saw that. I would have never guessed it. Not from him. =(

I did not notice the "val hammer guy" thing. Upon investigation however I see what you are talking about. I also would not have expected that, I would have assumed it was stock over time.

If anyone has suspicions about any UOForums sponsors please send the Admins a PM. We take such matters very seriously here at UOForums. We do look into each 'report' and if found to be true (with concise evidence) then the sponsor is dealt with accordingly.

Sadly, I have been to IDOCs where there are many rares of the same type like potted plants, holiday bells, hammers of all kinds, etc., so its not impossible to have a few rare furs (example) at your disposal.

I didn't see the 'lot' of 50 Valorite hammers, so I can't address that issue.

There is very few innocent in the process of selling dupes.

There is those that dupe, clearly guilty
There is those that offers their house for vendor spots , clearly guilty since only a moron will belive its not dupes they are selling (yes nobody can be that thick in the head)

There is those that buy alot of high end items that they should know (if you got that much money then you know about how dupes) and not buy 5 valorite hammers when it took like 1 year before the first hammer was even given out on europa etc.


I had the money and the chance to buy alot of these things and I really wanted too also becuse some items are just nice to own, but since I understod it was dupes I didnt buy it.

Sometime you just gotta take a stand and say no to these things or your just a part of the problem yourself.
