Anyone tested the scrolls of Alacrity yet?

Thought this might be of interest from this weeks FoF.

For difficulty-based skills, including the crafting skills, it does - it can actually affect it either way. Your skill gain in these skills is dependent on your success chance for each action - you have a better chance of gaining if the action is neither too easy nor too hard. So anything that changes that chance of success, including talismans and +skill jewelry, will change the rate at which you gain skill.

If/when I get 120 scrolls, it will be set at 80.

Did another cooking scroll of alacrity today (and watched like a hawk

)

+ 2.8 gain (88.4 - 91.2)
8 individual skill gains
5 @ .4
2 @ .3
1 @ .2 (the very last one)

I'd do it if I could. You could finish the candle quest too. Just don't get your hopes up on getting any of the scrolls, you have to kill a lot unless you're just lucky.

Well... I tested my first scroll today which cost me 350k! Fishing.. Ohh that wonderous skill - so im at 62.5 I thought ill give it a whirl, within 15 minutes I got 1 gain 1 GAIN!!!! 0.5 BIG WOW! talk about really ******** me off

Bright side - .5 is better than the .1 you would have gotten otherwise.

These scrolls are WAY too overpriced, though.

I know that stinks but the best way I found to gain in fishing was buying SOS. You need to be at 70 I think to pull them in, I may be wrong. So I would just fish until I reached the SOS spot, then sail again across the Oceans ARRRGGGGH!!! and raise

I have tried several scrolls of alacrity out, and gotten no gains from them. To be fair, however, I am above GM level in all skills that i tried. I would suggest that if you are thinking of buying one, don't pay very much for it. And if you are going to use one, ensure that every possible factor is working in your favor for the 15 mins of time that you have. It goes by *awfully* quickly, and you can't afford any distractions whatsoever during that time.
