Kenny, the point of speaking about both EA and Stratics is yes, Stratics is down, but there was supposed to be an event going on in UO, and the UO team has failed to use any other source to get the info out to the players regarding the event.

It's like they're basically saying, If stratics is down, no one gets the info
Kinda sad really, you'd think after Mythic taking over, things would change, but if anything, it's actually worse.

A lot worse. Because they flat out stated Stratics wasn't the official site and they were trying to move away from the reliance of it, to the point of creating the UOHerald. But not only did Stratics get the updated information before the Herald ever did, often times the Herald never even got any of the information Stratics did.

But no amount of complaining seems to have gotten me anywhere, if anything, it's made them stop speaking to me (No emails answered in 2 months now)
So I've stopped emailing them.

I think we may be looking at a post-Stratics world.

EA will need to find another means of getting information to us very, very quick...They can start by putting up some of the information on the Vanguard attacks. So far as I know those were exclusively on Stratics!!!

This is not true.

All we get, we get from UOHerald. Yes, we get notified when something is postet to the Herald, but only the minute it gets posted.

So if you load the UO.Herald site and keep pressing F5, you'll get the exact same information at exactly the same time as we do.

I can't comment on our downtime, but it's not a hack or virus.

I know they're working 24/7 to ..*coughs* reco... uhm.. *coughs* erm get the boards up again.

I think he means when Jeremy and co post new information/news on Stratics, but don't bother to post it on UOHerald, the supposed official source of UO info, ya know?
I've pointed it out to Jeremy a few times, after she requested I do so, (not that I should have to), but they still do it.
People shouldn't have to go to a third party site, be it stratics or UOForums, to find out changes to the game, or what's in store for UO, as far as event and systems go.

I sort of hate that Stratics gets the good gouge but we at UOForums are left in the cold.

Of course, my loathing of this situation is directly proportional to the effectiveness of my work firewall at blocking stratics...
