That is why I am urging caution and patience in any PvP changes. I really don't want them to screw up PvM when they do the PvP changes.

As for Wilki's comment I got the impression he was talking about mana regen more than regs. My mage almost never has to meditate. With 110 Med, 100 Focus and I forget how much MR he has, mana isn't really an issue. His lack of damage and nerfed EV's suck but that's the mage now.

I'll stick with my Paladin until they nerf them out of existence. (He also has good MR and doesn't run out of mana.)

Hehe.. Do you PvM? Paladins.. don't leave home without em! I'm with you, I only PvM (what little I do) on my paladins. They're like self-sufficient little powerhouses.

now everyone complainns about people having mana regen and lrc. why cant a person have it, if monsters can have it? I know for a fact some monsters can cast and cast and never lose mana and they dont normally have regs on them, so why not me??????
Besides I spent alot of time peicing together my lrc suit with mana regen, mana increase, LMC and decent reisists. Its not right they can't take that away from me

I look at it like this...LRC should not be 100% i mean befor ea was even in the picture...how did we make it?.....reg's.....thats how. Bringing it back should not be too much of a hassel...but i see it on the other hand tooo. I have 3 chars that use LRC all the time. But with new Weight's that we (human Char's) i dont think it will be too bad

I don't even want to hear it. All along mages have been complaining that archers and dexxers are too powerful and now that they are evening it out mages are complaining cause they won't leave them at top with everything....Give me a break!

Make sure they start to balance PvM while they balance PvP, and don't make PvM too hard in the process.
It's not just the PvPers job to get on the PvP test shard once that comes out - PvMers need to go in and fight balrons, lich lords, peerlesses, black order folk, etc along the way and make sure things don't get overlooked.

Don't expect your bushido/chiv/archer to be as uber as it is now in PvM though - expect it to drop down a few notches (in relation to other players, not necessarily in relation to monsters).

This would be a buncha horsepoop. Congratulations to the mages that dont need to meditate, I'm not one of them. With the new elven mana increase I find it almost impossible to meditate at gm below 40 mana. If I cant regen to this point that I can actually begin to actively meditate in a reasonable amount of time im screwed. I've even had to compensate with removing fishing from my template after 5 years for a bit of focus and I am still without mana fighting the monsters in the new expansion. (cause they're rough if you havnt noticed!!!)
I only fight monsters unless I can help (years of emotional uo scars being beaten as a youth) it but really pvp people... you all have the same crap you can get and the same crap you can train... if someone beats you up then maybe you're template isnt frikken good enough or maybe even... *gasp* you just suck! I mean really, I dont run to stratics and whine everytime my treasure hunter gets pk'd. How unbalanced is that! I mean seriously ea have you guys ever seen Indiana Jones? DUH My treasure hunter should be given a special slide into the hidden passway, outrun the giant ball and then make out with pretty lady move. I've found it hilarious that the same people who are so meanhearted in the game logoff and curl up and cry on their soapboxs on stratics. pffff, anyways i cant match the same mana dumps or hit points as the balron or the new peerless and I still find a way to kill them so suck it up.

Anyways, the rumored lrc cap would sucketh. I hated regs and im even starting to run out of them which i thought i'd never do. I have a few chars that still use them but my main one doesnt. It'd be mostly a pain to my crafting account but i guess if it was something like 85 i could live with recalling most of the time. It took a loong time to make my suit just right, although im wishing for some regen about now... wasnt an issue in the past.

Whatever rolls around we'll just have to adapt and thats part of the game and the fun that is uo.

Getting situated. Getting comfortable and established. Wanna know what makes that so much fun? The fact that its not easy.

LMC, LRC, LAC, MR, BBQ, and any other acronyms you can think of only make UO easier. Why should someone have it so that they dont have to use anything to cast spells? Whats wrong with carrying regs?

I mean... seriously. 100 of each reg will run you 80 stones worth of weight. Thats more than enough for one hunting run. You go to the dungeon, do your hunt, when you run out... you.. go... back... home.

Deposit, rinse, repeat. Whats so hard about it? For the PvPers... I know the mages out there LOVED when they got that mage kill cause they thought "Nice! 50 root... I was getting low too".

I think, as some said, that people have been spoiled by it. To those that are crying about the change, I say bah to you. Pick yourself by your pantlegs, get some regs, and go about your business. To those of you who welcome the change, I applaud you for being able to remember what makes UO fun.

I realize that Luis but like every other change before,I complain then I go on deal with it. There is nothing wrong with a little whining before the fact. Heck if people didnt say anything then things would never change, change is good for a person:grin:

As a player who has played primarily only mages (sure i have had a few fighters) for PvP and PvM for over 7 years now. (never even had a tamer ). I personally could deal with LRC or no LRC, Regs were a part of the game long enough that I got quite used to stocking and having regs. As for the MR cap I must admit that I think it is quite rediculous that I never run out of mana. Sure it is fun when monster bashing but as far as pvp goes it is way out of control. One of the best tactics for mage PvP used to be to survive your opponents dump and then counter witha dump of your own. Nowadays people can just dump dump dump, while the opponent just heals, heals, heals, to no end. At least if both people are halfway decent mages. (And not taking into account lame as Spellweaving spells) . If putting in a MR cap of some kind is what they think is necessary to balance PvP again heck I will give it a try. ALthough I do think there are a bunch of other changes that need ot be looked at.

There's nothing wrong with voicing dislike over a change. I can understand being frustrated that you worked so hard toward making your character (or even the things he wears) just right....and then the rules change. But it's always changing.

It doesn't even sound like UO the way people are describing their mages. lol
