The funny thing is that if you picked the +5 stat increase for AoS, you don't get the increase again. However, if you picked the +5 skill increase for AoS, you also get the stat increase this time around too, so you get two things! Kinda silly.

Thats what I did. I didnt know the importance of stats at that time, as I had just started playing, but was having a hard time building skills, so I put them to that. I guess its a way for those of us who had no idea what was going on at the time to do it right this time around.....

Amazingly, I too picked the skills over the stats. I didn't really think a +5 stat cap was all that big a deal, and to be honest, I still don't. So I am going to laugh my arse off that I got both gifts.

I picked the skills on my crafter. All the other ones took the stat increase.

Well, on some characters, I find that the stats arent too big a deal, but I have a few that this extra will help their suits just THAT much more. Those extra 5 points added to say, dex to get you over that hump to the next SSI tick. Or the str to get you that extrea few hp. To the right suit, 5 can be priceless.

But, I am with you deraj, I am laughing all the way to the bank on this one. My newbishness is reversed after almost 4 yrs.. It just sucks that I wasted it on skills I found out later were easy to build. And I dont mean focus(thats just waaaaaaaay too stupid even for a newb) If I had known then that taming, lockpicking, cartography, and nox were soo hard, I would have done it then. But at that time, there were no soulstones, and I deleted quite a few chars that I just didnt like playing. Like my necro/dexer that I got bored with, but later rebuilt a necro, and had to do it alllllll over again....

about the extra +5 stat, i don't see any of my characters with the increase, even though i have ate +25 stat scrolls on all of my chars.
anyone know why??

When you get to 6 months, you should get the +5 for all your chars.

Its applied to all characters in a 6 month old account. It doesn't matter hold old the character is. I don't like this new invention. It makes the spread even wider. Since the stat cap is now 255 as opposed to 250. If I was to lose an account for instance, I'd be 5 points behind a seasoned player. I think EA are trying to make up for the whole newbification that UO is undergoing. But I don't like it. The other thing I don't like is when your client crashes and upon re-entering UO it tells you that your pet can''t be returned to you until you res. Jesus, next they will be posting your armor resists and HCI DCI DI and template to an attacker, wait they are already considering som of that.........NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO If you've been on Test Shard recently you'll have seen the target box that displays a players DCI and HCI or wotever it is. The whole point of wearing a cloak is to conceal what your character is, when in Fel I sit around working out who I will actually be able to kill, before I attack. I die less often due that way. I chose my targets carefully.
