Any life left in UO?

Hello, im really bored! Actually im just really tired of playing WC3 waiting for warhammer online. Anyway Im a long time pk, but never played UO. My most memorable experience was the glory days of sullon zek.

What im wondering is if it is still possible to buy UO and enjoy it, or is the game just to far apart from new players to old players? Any input would be appreciated. Im old, im bored, and I love the classics!

If you like MMOs, you will get enjoyment out of UO. The open-endedness of it and the wonderful community really put it in a category all its own.

You can download the client for free at:

ftp://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/uo/setup-1.46.0.3.exe <- Old 2d client that many/most people still use and love. If you like the classics, this is the one Id go for first.

depends on which shard you play i play alantic and i find it really enjoyable i can still play for hours on end always someone around to chat with or go to fel alantic always battles going on

Now are all servers pvp or how does that work?

im only familiar with alantic but i do beleive all servers have the same faucets

All servers have the ability for PvP depending on what facet of that server your on. Trammel facet is PvM, while Felucca is PvP. It's a bit more involved than that, but that's it in a nut shell.
For total lawlessness and PvP there are the Seige and Mugan shards.

Pick the shard with the fastest ping time and lowest latency. It'll be display in the client.
