I am appalled that this event which is based on UO Lore from Ultima V, has materialised to be nothing different than anything else that EA have produced in recent times.

The history about who these 3 humans [ Asterol, Nosfentre and Faulina ] were and how they came to be Shadow Lords could of/should of made for an EPIC EVENT,the likes of we havent seen.

EA could of brought people flooding back to the game with this story line.

Suffice it to say today,even though 2 of my accounts are still 'live' I have uninstalled UO from my PC,and will only know what I gather reports on from others as of today.

@Tab - I hear you, I wish this piece of lore had been better developed, or that the event storyline wasn't so confusing...

@ Devs -

I wasn't active during the Candle of Love event, but it seems that sort of thing would be much better received than the current event. There was monster fighting, puzzle-solving, pixel crack, useful items, a felucca component (I think). I certainly hope that the current event is just starting out and thus will contain many of these same elements.

If not, please take a hard look at why people play this game. Yes, it's for pixel crack, but it's also for excitement. Endless monster spawns with no discernable purpose are not necessarily fun.

Why are the shadowlords spawning? Why do I keep killing their transparent bodies, only to have them pop up again? Why are these wisps and fetid essences so angry? Why are Fallen Warriors flooding the moonglow dungeon and why don't they fight the demons? For that matter, why haven't I seen any demons? If we aren't supposed to kill the Fallen Warriors, why aren't they blue like Unicorns or Faeires or Ki-Rins?

Again - I hope that we just haven't figured out the solution to the current puzzle yet. The comments about 'choose a side' are cryptic, but if the players don't receive any sort of observable in-game feedback, how can we adjust our behavior properly to advance the event?
