My char (alone) is unable to kill a Paragon Elder Gazer. I have tried many times.
My question is:
Am I doing something wrong, or is it NOT possible to kill an Eldere Gazer Paragon, WITHOUT the use of magic or taming? If there is ANY other way to kill them without using magic or taming could someone please tell me? Thank you.


My char’s skills are:

Bushido 100
Healing 100
Resisting Spells 100
Parrying 100
Swordsmanship 100
Tactics 110
Anatomy 100

My stats are:

Strength 105
Dexterity 93
Intelligence 66
Damage 37-43

Physical Resistance 68
Fire Resistance 69
Poison Resistance 70
Energy Resistance 70

I use a Soul Seeker, enhanced bandages and greater potions.

Are you missing too much? Taking too much damage? using a 2 handed weapon and using evasion?

Looking at your skills, I'd say you should at least go 110 Swords (take 10 from Tactics), and everything else should be ok.

Yes I am taking too much damage, THAT is the problem.
A Soul Seeker is a one handed weapon.
Tactics are a part of the Arms Of Tactical Excellence (an artie) I wear.
If I raise Swordsmanship I will have to sacrifice Damage Increase or Physical Resistance or Poison Resistance in the same amount. Take your pick.
Sure I’m using evasion. I also tried all the other moves like Lightning Strike, Counter Attack and Confidence as well, MANY times. I also have a fast broadband connection

As buddy lee said, you should raise Dex too. Try to get it as high as possible in multiples of 20 (140 is preferrable). This will decrease the time it takes a bandage to take effect.

Didn't see you were using the SoulSeeker and you should be able to Evade at a decent rate to stay alive, but 2-handed weapons give you a better defense (with bushido).

If you don't want to drop 10 skill points from Tactics, 10 could be taken from Healing, but I would still suggest finding a way to get Swords up to 110 so you will hit more often (what I meant by missing too much, was are you swinging the SoulSeeker and missing more often than not?) AND it increases your defense efficiency (defense = Weapon Skill + Parry + Bushido, the more the better).

Jewelry not listed. Get skill jewels to boost you up higher in swords. 120 is prefereable, 115 if not affordable.

HCI /DCI jewels / gear. Stam increase armor / dex jewels to get swing speed up (which is based on total stamina, not dex anymore)


At 140 dex / stamina, swap out soul seeker for something with high DI / SSI/HCI/DCI

Focus on damage over time, instead of damage per hit. if al you fight has 100 HP or less, damage per hit is great. Anything over 200-250 HP, you want to start thinking damage over time. THis means swing speed increase, hit accuracy.
