Has anyone ever purchased one of these?

If you don't want to admit it, that's fine too. Just use the old "my friend" bought one and this is what happened.
I am curious to know something. It says that you can advance a charachter can be advanced if they have under 200 skill points. Does that mean that the skills that come with the token, let's use necromancer as an example which comes with 85 necro and 85 ss, get added to what the char you are advancing already has?
If so, you could make a new char with 35 necro- scroll up to 120, 35 spirit speak scrolled up to 120 and throw the other 30 points you get from new char creation and you would have a pretty bad ass necro with no hard, time consuming training. IS THIS TRUE? AM I MISSING SOMETHING?
Please let me know. I see tons of people saying they have been playing UO for 6 months and they have 4 or 5 Uber chars. I have been playing for 4 years and can't consider any of mychars Uber. Well grizz is pretty damn sweet.........but that took some time.

When you use the token the char that you use it on has to have less than 200 pts, before you can use the token. Say you have 35 necro on the template and you use the token, you will only get 85 necro you dont get 120 (85+35), otherwords it doesnt stack.

Can you stone skills from an advanced character?

Once you use the token you stone skills to a soulstone or add skills from a soulstone, but remember skills dont stack.

I have used several adv char tokens and I am not ashamed! I spent 8 years playing characters from scratch. Now I'm old. I'm entitled LOL

Like everyone else said... skills don't stack, but once you have an advanced character you can do whatever you want with the skills (such as stone them off to another character). The thing with the 200 points is that - for example, if you have a character that already has GM magery skills (maybe eval, inscription, and magery) and you want to turn him into an archer/mage via an advanced character token (thereby adding 80 in each fighting skill), you can't, because you're higher than the 200 point max.

The tokens are meant to be used by new/untrained characters.

But, if you have a char, and enough soulstones, couldn't you have the stones hold the skills, use the advanced token, then add back the skills you wanted to keep? Or kinda shuffle skills around, in other words?

I used a advanced token for my newest t-hunter. After building up two tamers, one t-hunter, and various other chars on different shards, I said forget that and bought the token. I earned my stripes already.... forget being all noble! lol

They are my new favorite thing.

I bought 2 for taming, 1 for bard. Looking back bard wasn't worth it but the 7 or 8mil the Tokens cost on Chessy... I'd much rather cough up a couple of mil then spend every waking minute of the next months training taming up that high

It's convient...although the stats are very nice. I take back what I said about the bard, having 80/90 pts in Stats alone makes life much easier.

I did, however, make the mistake of soulstoning skils around after the fact and was like 3 points short of what I needed to put on a skill, so I turned down other skillsl, and like an idiot, turned down my elder archery. Naturally Archery was hte only skill to drop points. Be careful.
