There where suppose to put it up on test first, then unbless them when the 10th anniversary stuff come out. I guess some one screwed up and put it on the Live Server instead of test over the weekend. I sent a bug report to EA yesterday and a 2nd one tonight. But still no waring they unblesed on the log on screen.

Why would you want the items to remain blessed for a few more weeks? Just be glad they finally were unblessed.

They said that they would give notice when they would become unblessed. They gave a date when it would be patch in. Some people not realizing they have become unblessed lost items that can be turned in for full Soulstones tokns or the little green square tolkens. I'm posting so if someone can read this bank their items before they die and lose then since EA has failed to give the warning they said they would provide. It should have been published to test first like the said.

How many weeks has the turn in been available? If it has been more than one month, I don't see a real concern for people who decided to wait until the last minute to turn in their items, trying to "gimp it out" as long as possible.

I think the point Spree is trying to make is that they once again told us they were going to do one thing and did something entirely different.

You can think whatever you like about people who still had 7AE gear, but someone at EA dropped the ball on this.

I gotta agree with JC on this one.

Trying to hold on to the very last second is classless and as soon as the "items will be unblessed, turn them in for X" came out, it should have been done, but everyone knew it was coming so there shouldn't have been any waiting.

If EA announced today that insurance was going to be discontinued sometime before the end of the year, would you immediately uninsure all your stuff?

If your answer is without a doubt yes, then good for you. If you have to think about it, you are being a hypocrite.

This is not the same. Siege is a special ruleset shard which was never meant to have blessed items or insurance. Normal production shards have had insurance for years.

Also, the developers originally gave a time frame of two weeks or something before the items would become unblessed. If the developers said items would all be uninsured in two weeks, I wouldn't use insured items anymore unless they announced a change in plans.

What you should have said, is if EA said they were going to take off the "Blessed" on all blessed items on regular production shards, would you then insure said blessed items immediately??

To which I would reply, yes.

Two things.

First, we have had blessed/insured items on Siege since AOS, just like production shards. We argued and argued and argued at the time for the 7 AE items to be released unblessed, but they released them as blessed anyway. Then, they sold them for $2 a piece on UO.com and everyone had them.

We also had personally blessed items. We argued for years to either get those removed or make sure everyone had one.

You can say that Siege was never meant to have blessings or insurance, and I would agree with you but it is naive to fail to recognize that these things have existed for years just like production shard insurance.

Second, how many times are we told by EA they will do things and then they either don't, or the deadline ends up getting extended time after time. That is what happened here. We were originally given a date for the blessings to be removed and that date came and went without any change. Then we were given a new date and this time they jumped the gun and without warning made the change live.

If they said insurance was going to be removed in 2 weeks you say you would unbless your stuff. I don't think you would, but good for you. If they missed that deadline, and a month and a half later insurance was still there, you are telling me you wouldn't re-insure your gear? Sorry, I don't believe that.
