Is is ok to talk about [Insert 3rd Party Program Name Here]?
Is [Insert 3rd Party Program Name Here] illegal to use? Why?

If you say its ok to ask questions I'll say which I'm talking about.

Depends on which one

If it's one of the known illegal ones, like Easy UO or UOcompanion etc, then no you can't discuss it, or ask for help using it, etc.

Yea, it is.
The ones that are allowed, are listed here - http://support.uo.com/uopro.html
And also the ones on the Stratics home page.

As for why, basically because "EA says so", hehe.
They haven't accepted any new programs to their UOPro program or endorsed any programs for a long time, it seems.
I doubt they'd ever allow Razor, because of it's affiliation with free shards, not to mention the automation of macros.

This is one of the subjects that I brought up at the last town hall. How it's been many years since the UOPro program was discontinued, but people still refer to that list as to what's UO legal and what's not.

Even though there are UO utilities commonly accepted by the community and unofficially by the UO Team as acceptable to use with UO. Such as UOHomeowner, UORudder, and others.

I asked if they could at least update the UOPro list. The devs and the audience both just moved on to the next person.

How do you know if you are using something illegal? I am not talking about programs. My friend uses a game pad, the belkin 52n, so I decided to buy one. But I heard they were illegal. Are they? What about he logic gaming keyboard?
