I think Otto reported this a while back, but it seems that the NPC in Britain bank that is supposed to give a token for an unblessed 7th AE item in exchange for the Advanced Character tokens, and Character Transfer tokens that were claimed on Siege STILL does not recognize any tokens except the Char transfer. I just traded the last 2 of my char transfer tokens for 7th AE tokens, but it will not accept my ACTs. Anyone else have the same problem?

Hmmm...I just found the post where this was reported as an issue on TC5 Siege Pub 43 in October of last year, and it was noted by Wilki as scheduled to be fixed in that thread (later confirmed by Ando). I wonder, did it simply never get fixed or was it fixed, then broken again recently or just fixed on the test center? I also haven't tried turning in any tokens in a long time, and am not sure if the NPC ever accepted the ACTs on Siege.

There is a solution.

It seems there are at least three varieties of those token - the NPC is only set up to take the latest 'edition'.

However, there is a way to turn versions 1 and 2 into version 3 (if anyone has a better description for it, post away!).

Simply try to use the token. At this point, the token will effectively disappear from your backpack. You will get a couple of steps through the process, and then be told that you can't use the token on Siege.

At this point, the token will be returned to your backpack - but it will be a 'version 3' token, which can be turned in.


Please note that there is another bug/feature - you can only turn in a certain number of tokens at a time. The solution to this one seems to be to get far enough away from the NPC for the counter to reset. On one occasion, this consisted of breaking line of sight, on another, I had to cross a server line for him to realise that I'd gone away.

I hope that is of some help! If, after all that, you still end up with tokens that can't be turned in, all I can suggest is calling a GM, and asking him if you can trade your token for his trendy robe.
