I started UO in 1997 and sold the last of my accounts in 2003. I was thinking of coming back and playing one character on Siege.

I am thinking a tamer for monster bashing and being able to defend myself in a fight.

I want a character template for a tamer and I want one that doesn't require other skills that need many resources, regs, armor weapons.

What would you suggest I start with and what template would you recommend.

Actually after some research, I am thinking a Thief would be fun top play on Siege, never played one before. Any template sugestions?

100 Stealth
100 Ninjitsu
100 Wrestling
100 Arms Lore (is this still needed to disarm?)

For disarm, it is a special move now and I believe it is the tactics skill that is required, unless Siege is different from other shards in that respect.

A template that is very fun to play on Siege is:

100 Hiding
100 Stealth (110 with Burglar´s Bandana)
100 Ninjitsu
100 Tracking
100 Detect Hidden
110 Stealing (120 with Burglar´s Bandana)
90 Snooping (100 with Burglar´s Bandana)

You won´t be able to fight much but it´s very fun to play. Oh, and don´t forget to bless your Bandana...

Most of that is for prodo shards, but it should get you started. Both Arms Lore and Tactics aren't needed for Wrestling Disarm. Wrestling is special. All other weapon special moves require Tactics.

If you enjoy playing a tamer...and have interest playing a thief...do both. It's a fun template. I just can't get myself to start training my taming skills again. I GMd them bofore soulstones...then dropped them for other skills, lol.

Kinda funny to park a pet in the wild...stalk your mark...steal anything from them or try to steal something you know will turn you grey...then run for the area that you parked and invised your pets.

Sure there is a good chance you'll end up going red, but you'll have fun doing it...la
