Week 12 Tournament Rules
No potions, petals or food.
No scrolls or wands.
No field or area spells.
No pre-cast spells or forms.
No paralyzing.
No pets or summons.
No hiding.

The Shire of Wispwood is pleased to announce the return of Fight Night, a weekly mixture of formal and informal dueling to be held each Sunday at Wispwood dueling pit.

Regular start time for the informal part is 5pm EST (so it is really Fight Evening or Fight Afternoon for many of you) and anyone is welcome to come along and challenge/train/test with one another, or perhaps just to learn from the experts. All participants must have read and agreed to the terms and conditions set out below. If you are only interested in the tournament part, there is no reason to arrive before about 5.40.

At 6pm, the formal contest will begin. Rules for this event will vary each week, and you should not take the contest too seriously. It is for entertainment purposes more than anything. As well as a weekly winner, participants will score points which will accumulate over the twelve week Fight Night 'season'. The entrant with the most points at season end will be crowned 'Duelist Supreme'.

We are now on Week 12, the final tournament of the season. This week's rules are the standard 'no potions' ones. At the end of the evening, we will be crowning the Siege Duelist Supreme!

Registration for the tournament will take place at Fight Night itself. To enter yourself, just post a message on the pit notice board. The board also shows the tournament rules in effect that night. You must have registered by 5.50pm to gain entry. Once the tournament has started, no further entries will be considered.

Naturally, everyone is welcome to attend, both duelists and spectators alike. This includes known enemies as long as they stay their hostilities within the Shire (dueling aside). Spectators are advised to bring little of value with them, as the odd raid or two is not unknown!

To those new to the shard, Wispwood Shire is located south of the Yew moongate and east of the Yew cemetery. The Shire consists of about 5 clearings with its community centre (and the dueling pit) in the clearing of Auraglade. Roads crafted from barrels can be followed from the Yew moongate and other locations to reach us (shown in brown on the map).



Terms & Conditions

a) This agreement is between The Shire of Wispwood (“The Firm”) and the participants of Wispwood Fight Night (“The Dragon Fodder”).

b) The Fight Night event and the interests of The Firm will be overseen by the referee, Lady Hoffs (“The Goddess”).

c) The Dragon Fodder will not hold The Firm responsible for any injury or loss, both short or long term, resulting from any slash, crush, bash, bite, stab, backstab, wither, enfeeblement, blast, bolt, drain, paralyzing, putrefaction, choke, electrical discharge, vortex, spirit, immolation, intoxication, innoxication, impoxication, falling celestial object, halitosis, earth movement, bowel movement or nasty insult.

d)The Firm will provide medical assistance to Dragon Fodder and spectators free of charge. However, a small fee may be levied if the individual requires the use of clean bandages and instruments.

e)The Firm will endeavour to resurrect all dead Dragon Fodder for no fee, but will not be held responsible for failure to do so. Any person who has remained dead for a period exceeding one calendar year may, however, make a claim for loss of earnings.

f) The Firm will be responsible for the removal of all bodies to the disposal area beneath The Golden Unicorn.

g) Eating aids healing and well-being. The Firm encourages all attendees to eat a nutritious meal, such as the delightful new meat dishes that will shortly be served in the Golden Unicorn.

h) Shapeshifters becoming stuck in animal form will be given free use of Wispwood veterinary facilities. Those remaining for more than one week may be sold off to the Moonglow Royal Zoo.

i) The decision of The Goddess is final in all matters.

j) The Goddess will remain fair and impartial. Rumours that a substantial donation made to account number 49735648 at the Bank of Vesper will grant any special treatment or bending of the rules are totally groundless.

k) Where equipment restrictions are in place, The Goddess reserves the right to undertake a full bodily search of any participant at a place of her choosing, using whatever method and restraint she deems necessary for this task.

l) At any time, and in particular pursuant to item (k), loaded weapons must be discharged upon demand.

m) As a gesture of respect to any vampiric visitors, all guests are requested not to consume or serve drinks made from Holy Water.

n) As a gesture of respect to all humans and elves, vampires are requested not to drink the guests.

o) The Dragon Fodder understand that The Goddess will not be able to take part herself, but acknowledge that in fact she could 'PWN' everyone using her tinkering skill alone.
