Horse barding... laugh of the year..

Ok, to be frank, I kind of waited 10 years to see that... when I've read horse barding, I was like "yyeeeaahhhhaaaa".
It's actually a standing deco...
May I add it's not even centered on the tiles.. and it looks too small for any uo horse to carry it

Ah crap, I'll just collect virtue tiles...

Oh yes, and the items aren't turnable... so you need to get both south and east facing if you want to later change the direction

Funny Devs

Re: Horse barding... laugh of the year..

I would have rather have these items added into the game as craftables, so you could use colored wood/ingots/granite on them to give them different looks

horse barding would have been made by blacksmiths

archery buttes by bowyer/fletchers

virtue tiles by masonary skill

wedding bans by tinkers

wedding cake by chefs and have multiple types/designs

plants by gardeners

everything else (unless I missed something that could be made with a crafter skill, if you think about it), would be on the point turn-in

And why are they giving out 300 luck 3/6 ring/braclet set? And adding even more mods to the armor set. I thought EAMythic said they did not want to move towards everyone using the same set? Or did I misread something?

I totally agree with you Warsong!!!

Give us carpenters/crafters/decorators more love!

One thing I would have liked to see is a "filled" graphic when you put something inside a shelf... we have asked for it like 8 years
And it doesn't sound that hard to me...

Look how long it took to get hooded robes in, even if they can not be lowered/raised. Guess if we keep asking your dream of a filled shelf might come true!

Re: Horse barding... laugh of the year..

Well, what puzzles me is that the hooded shrouds needs a lot more work with all the moves of the player chars. While the shelf is just an existing graphic to make available. I'd be ok if it was just craftable

The whole thing here is... there are tons of items available in the game that should simply be craftables and that's it. There is no difference in term of server charge if we put a firepit or a stone oven.

Anyway, one "good" news, Doom artifacts (stealables included) will give points depending on rarity. I'm a bit reliefed they didn't overlooked that, even if I'd have preferred to be able to give a skull candle for 10k points *laughs*

Good post. And I agree with making the items craftables - and who knows maybe they will be.

question though . . . the wedding bands - didnt we already have them? I have a bag of 'wedding items' on one of my persons with bands and bracelets and chamapgne and stuff. maybe im mistaken though.

Re: Horse barding... laugh of the year..

the old wedding bands were blessed, even though they don't say it. And seers/gms used to be able to 'engrave' them for players at weddings.

Re: Horse barding... laugh of the year..

Well, the ability to make wedding items is nice, though I think it loses a lot of interest if the game doesn't focus on community. Back in the old days I remember attending many player events (weddings or else).

There was much more community spirit back then. And such events had much more their place..

I remember back when Deepwater existed and PvPers did fight along with roleplayers, making a crafter was an achievement and player interaction was mandatory if you wanted to live!

I think that's what we should head too, not more pixelcracks and such. Community spirit is what used to make UO the unique game it was. Though uo has still many unique features. And to me it's the only game that doesn't boil down to "Grind", "Level", rince and repeat.

Baaahhhh *turns off old fart rant mode*
Good thing there is always something new to look for into uo!
