Ok...so if I start playing...

What would be a good character type to play? During the beat the only thing I played was a Hobbit. It was ok but I was wondering what everyone else liked.

Also, what is best for solo play? I tend to be a bit anti-social, but still like MMORPG's over single player games.

I am a elf champion. I do alright on my own but Marlin (DarkSied) helps me a lot because i can never find anything

id go for a man champion then

Or atleast a man character since you can get "man" heal later which you can use each hour... its a full heal and only for men/women.. no other races. They got other things.

well, any hunter is also good for solo play, plus you get the added super travel bonus. they also get a legendary trait that also has a one hour cooldown like that man trait (called press onward) which heals 3000 morale and 3000 power in one fell swoop.

I know there's a debate about if its better to be an elf or a man for a hunter tho. Elves get some nice bow damage bonuses that are great for hunters, but pile that press onward trait of the hunter, plus the human trait of that super heal... and wow, tough to kill ;)

Had most fun as captain and elf champion. the captains squire is very handy for solo play and the captain can heal/res. best buffer he is too. Although I got really sick of the screaming he does..
hunter seems quite a good start character though with speed and all, I travelled with one mostly and it was great.

I am looking at playing either a Champion and my other half a Hunter....i think as a pair they should work well together.

My first character was a elf minstrel. One good thing about being a minstrel.. you will never have a hard time finding a group. I can also solo things, it just takes me a little longer than it would a strict fighting class I think.

The one I am working on now is a elf hunter. I have fun with her too. She's only about lvl 21 or so now tho.

Guardian for soloing as they seem to be able to soak up the damage.

Guardian and Lore Master or Minstrel would make a good co-op team

Myself and my other half have been working the Guardian/Hunter team tag and its proven very successful ( most of the time lol )
