Need help... EU and US server

Got a friend in america who wanna play on EU server instead since thats what she always done.

She downloads the trial (EU) and installs it.
She have a account created on codemasters.

Now...

She herself i hope can fill up with more details in a followup post here and then if anyone can help her more then I can... pretty please

ok so bottom line... got the damn thing installed and it says i got 1.05 which as i understand is book 11 so all i'd need is book 12 but when i dl book twelve its a .torrent file which i've no idea what to do with it doesnt dl as an updater... and if i hit continue it errors

so i wnet back today and it gots lots to choose from so i'm now downloading the 12 installer lets see if i can do this without f-ing it up....

Are you sure the Book 12 version your getting is an EU version?

Just a thought.

I'd reinstall the basic EU trial version and then make sure you can login. It should at that point start to D/L Book 12 thru the game.

Again I've never tried to play the EU shards.

well i can answer that right now no it wont let me log in withought trying to patch i hit continue instead of update and i get the same thing.

Ok a couple things to check.

I looked up the error you're getting and this is what it said: This error is most likely caused by improperly configured UAC settings or when running as an Administrator.

Please create a new Windows User account and run LOTRO from there. Doing so will use the default UAC settings to run the game, and should allow LOTRO to run correctly.
And check to make sure your firewall is allowing turbinelauncher.exe, lotroclient.exe and turbineinvoker.exe.
