LOTRO: A New Kind of Duel
I am so use to the sounds of battle, I can often shut them out for a goodnight's rest. here in the rain, I was drawn by the magic and harmony of the minstrels notes filling the air. Dorthee, Redbone and Minors played in synchronous harmoney. The music made me forget about the rain and indulging myself in some Elven Wine. I let the rain me, and remained mounted on my horse. It's always good to have a fast getaway.
Fleece and Scarlet walkup to steps and issued a challenge to Dorthee, Redbone, and Minors. The challenged minstrels stopped playing their instruments, and let them hang at their sides. I watched, expecting weapons to be drawn, but was shocked. Fleece and Scarlet pulled out musical instruments and began to play. I grinned in amuzement. Times are changing. Weapons set aside and music determined a victor. A battle of the bands.
Selection after selection was played. I could not determine a winner between the two bands. I believed I was the winner to get to listen to such beautiful music. Eowyna is right, there is hope in some of the Dunedain. |
