Lotro: A Message Must Get Through

Eowyna, and I meet with Lord Elrond, and the next thing you know, I am riding carrying a message, and someone is trying to ride me down. Where do evil bad guys get their Henchmen?...At the local Henchmen Guild hall? It Could be worse, and it could be the Nazgul chasing me. I hope Eowyna is doing better than me at the moment.

I managed to lose my pursuers through a fine display of horsemanship, raw nerve and some luck. Lord Elrond's messages were delivered, and more pledged to join the Alliance. One can feel a fight a coming, and one doesn't need much of an education to see we are slightly outnumbered. Perhaps, greatly outnumbered, but it means that much more glory and gold for me.

Eowyna managed to get through without any incident. We linked up and began taking Orc Command and Control elements. In simple terms, killing off Orc Leaders. Even though, I hold the rank of General, I'm still a Bandit at heart. Much of my sucess is due to the efforts of Eowyna, Dip and a few others.

Killed some bad guys, located the sacred Aurouch's Skull and returned it to the Earth Kin. The Earth Kin are very much like Giants, but very annoyed if you mention anything about Jack and a bean stalk. Eowyna, carried that skull over 3 kilometers and laid that giant skull at their feet. Impressing the Dwarf and the Earth Kin.

My own journey to deliver messages for Lord Elrond was less perilous than that of Maddux, as I was not pursued by followers of the Dark Lord. Had I known he was in such danger, my heart would have frozen. It is well I had my own assignment to complete.

My own journey took me past the ruins of the Watchtower of Amon Sul on the high hill of Weathertop.

And deep into the Lone Lands to the ancient Numinorean ruins of Ost Guruth, where I delivered Lord Elrond's message into the hands of the Brown Wizard, Radagast whom I found in residence in a crumbling tower. I know not the contents of the message, but the news must have been grave, for the old wizard sent me off gather information for him, so that he might reply to Lord Elrond.

My mission for Radagast took me into the red swamps of Haragmar, Swamp of the Red Maid. And wouldn't you know that in addition to biting gnats, it had to be raining. I pulled my hooded traveling cloak closer about me to ward off cold and damp. Why does Maddux get all the plum assignments? I guess the rank of general has it's priviledges. Just as long as I don't break a fingernail.......

Once in this dreary place in the dreariest of weather, I encountered a number of evil denizens. But it was from the wights, dire spirits of the long dead, that Radagast wished me to gather evidence as to their leader, whom he suspects answers to the Witch-King of Angmar. I will return the signet I recovered from the body and see what Radagast has to say.

I am begining to hate Hate Wizards more and more. Everytime you meet one, they send you to go fight for free. My friends over at Blackwater Elves would be laughing at the amount of pro bono work I have been doing. ....Opps.. let me get back in the protection circle before Eowyna gets worried. Sometimes you just have to see how good you are without the enchantments.

Radacast and Eowyna decide the fate of Middle Earth. I whisper in Eowyna's Ear "Profit Margins." in hopes they she demands a larger share of the profits. Oh well, I dont think she heard me.

Back to the undead, and an alliance has been formed. Seriously, what are we going to do with an army of undead?

The Hillmen are sided with the Orcs and guard one of the passages north into Angmar. Curently my scouts and I are unsure who leads these combine forces of HIllmen and Orcs.

The Hillman looks in shock and disbelief. Sauron didn't help him. As I get closer to the gates of Angmar, I can feel Dread bearing down on me. Not as much as Frodo is probably feeling, but we will keep Sauron busy so Frodo can do his part.
