if you get gold you've done something..same way with WoW too

btw Are the horses mortal if you will? Can they die? Can they bond? Is there somewhere I can look up this info?

I went to LOTRO.com but the information on gameplay seems limited. Or do I just have to buy the lotro box?

Horses in LOTRO don't die. They are more like an ethy mount. You store them in your pack when you are not riding them. You cannot exchange them with other players tho.

I forgot to mention as well 5 monster characters, but only one of each class per server. Monster characters are not transferable to other servers.
