Ok, I had this brainstorm while I was listening to my cousin travel down memory lane. She was telling me about the first anniversary of 9/11 in 2002. She was part of that planning group. For those who do not realize, the cousin to whom I am referring is the Lady Luana (Radcliff) Wilfair. She was then a member of HKC (Holy Knights of Camelot).

Anyways, when she mentioned that this will be the 7th year anniversary, I got to thinking that there are also 7 days in a week. So here is what I would like to do/see happen. I would like all the shard of Chesapeake and its people to rise and come together for some events over the 7 days preceding 9/11. It will start out on Thursday, 9/4 with a storytelling contest, sponsored by my own guild, *CH*.

I have discussed other events with Lord NANOC which includes a trip to Doom and a net toss. We have also discussed the changes to the lands of Sosaria over the last 7 years. Let's make this time not only for remembering, but also rebuilding...or demonstate how we have rebuilt, not only in customizing designs (which I have discussed with Lord Gareth) but also friendships and coming together.

Would *V* get involved, as they were part of that first ceremony? Time will tell. Please post here and I will try to update a schedule periodically.

I am hoping also to see other shards participating either in their own events or coming to visit and join ours.

Im sure I can come up with some kind of play themed with 911. Would you want it like 911 RL acted out or take 911 and apply it to Ultima Online? This would be on 9/5

I think 9/11 UO style would be better. The first year the memorial was at the shrine of Sacrifice in Trammel. The second year was a tour through Britian with the virtue shrines and other special locations, ending with a gate to the Justice waterfall, then processional to the Shrine of Justice, I believe. Memory fades over the years though, so if Tancred Redstar makes a correction, he's right!

Every year, I have held a small memorial service at the Shrine of Sacrifice in Trammel at 9pm EST. Some years there were lots of people, some years just a very few. Plan to do the same this year.
