Thoughts on Vesper Risk
I think 'Vesper Risk' sounds better then 'UO Risk'.
Just gonna write up some thoughts about Vesper Risk. I'll probably wander around a bit. Participating- I like the idea of having everyone in one alliance. This configuration has the best benefits- Alliance chat function allows communication between everyone- the good, the bad, the neutral, and the referees. No one turns grey to non-participants No accidental murder counts The drawback to the alliance is everyone people must either join the alliance as a guild or as a an individual. Individuals can easily join a guild in the alliance, both Nanoc and Gak are GM's of their guilds. Winfield will be available to ally any guild that wants to play, this will require the GM of the guild to be present, or seek out Winfield before the battle to join the alliance. This really only applies to PvP events that don't take place in Felucca, although it would be easier with everyone in the same alliance. Not everyone will have to be in alliance to participate in events like archery, mage poker, darts to name a few. Good will wear White robes, not death robe white. We will try to have extra robes, but you might want to bring your own. Evil will wear black or that really dark color we wore last night, again we will have some extras, but you might want to bring your own. When we change events, like a PvP event followed by an Archery event(or vice versa), people can change characters, and if they change characters they could change sides as well, just show up in a different colored robe. Not all events need to have even teams but I would like to try and keep the PvP events as even as possible. Perhaps some events will combine PvP and PvM, but Events are for another thread. Flagging Grey- An ancient Feluccan term meaning to attack someone, doing no damage, to turn grey, usually done by attacking the ref, or a neutral party, or blue friend. Attacking guild/alliance members, reds, greys, and people you have been in recent combat with will NOT turn you grey to everyone. This is done to prevent murder counts. Tactics should be chosen by the teams, taking into consideration the rules for the event. For example, during the PvP events taking place in Vesper, the teams should be allowed to chose if the want to use mounts or not. While playing Paintball in the Twin Towers of Paxlair, no mounts are allowed, neither are any other items brought in from outside... Rules and goals for bridge to bridge PvP can be agreed upon by both sides before event. Having bridge to bridge PvP in Vesper Felucca(or any other guard patroled city in Felucca), will get you guard wacked. So that is really not an option...Unless we are all allied... We could have fought over five islands on Thursday- one island for each fight. Or we can do a best of three or five or whatever, all this depends on the number of people that show up. There will be times where one event might last most of the night, but I would like to stay at a pace of fighting over several islands each night to keep the game moving. There many be times where four battles might be fought, but the map hasn't changed. Any other ideas? Last edited by Ga'kuct; 18th April 2008 at 07:54 PM. |
