I'm making up useful books for new players and even for more established players. One is on how new players can make gold - escorts, gathering resources, fighting low level monsters, learning to craft. Another book is on how to raise crafting skills. I found this one on the ground, written by Salomonius and it is a very useful guide on how to raise skills to gm in a number of disciplines - tailoring, alchemy, blacksmithing, bowmaking, poisioning, etc. These would be good books to add to the new player packs. If you have a topic you'd like to write a book on - like how to be the best fisherman or miner, best way to fight Lady Mel, etc. - please do so and I'll be happy to mass copy them and put them in a library - either at the Eye or Warehouse or at my house for future use.

You can write the guides online, then copy paste the information into UO books by using control+V (open the book and mouse cursor must be in the page you want to paste...)

You can also get the dark red books by doing the quest near the New Haven docks... (stylish...)
