i believe to get a cloak u have to use blackrock and cast armageddon on them, then one will spawn in ur pack when it dies, thats how i got the 4 i have. its possible i suppose its just random if u get looting rights however of all of them i have killed and got looting rights on the only ones i got the cloak from were ones i used armageddon on, and i got one from all of them i casted it on- Restless LA.

Unfortunately, on Atlantic, I think we realized this too late. As we mercilessly slaughtered the ethereals, and now the town is overrun by demons.

Thing to know - don't die next to the rift gate - your body disappears right away - probably under gate where you can't get to it. I was trying to get out of the gate before I kicked the bucket so it would be easier to get my body - ha, ha, ha. I was in gate, died, and it kicked me back into the rift area.

This event has definitely required the collaboration between guilds (ie, walk around with res above your head until anyone takes pity on you) and stronger teamwork among GRI/DRI. It has proven to be beneficial in having a bunch of teammates there to assist in healing, rezzing, and fetid essence whacking. Those things hurt! And they track you, poison you, and now are throwing spellweaving spells. The etherals hit hard, as well and will follow you.
I did manage to have a bit of dumb luck yesterday and pounced upon a shadowlord as he spawned right in front of me, spoke the enchantment to him and managed to get a cloak, even though I died in the process.
Speaking of dying: please remember to grab a bar and cross heal! This applies even when not in Moonglow!

I have a question about casting armaggedon at the shadowlords.

When you cast it, does it take away your blackrock? I only have one small piece. I would hate to lose it.

It took mine away, yes. But I still seem to occasionally have the strength of two men....

Perhaps its a matter of ability and not alignment.

No - it disappeared into some other rift, never to be seen again. Fortunately, I only lost a pair of scissors, a knife, two bags with very replaceable stuff in them like blank runes and food, and my runes to my house, Haven and a special spot I like to multi-task train. The only thing that was hard to replace was my house rune. Discovered I'd neglected to drop a house rune in one of the many runebooks in my pack! So, had to recall to Grimswold Island, cross the rope bridge, take the underground route to the other side of the mountains and up a mile or so to my house. Good exercise and I only ran across one ice snake. I put a rune to my house in one of my books so I don't have that happen again.

I don't have spellweaving or a necro character. What characters are you finding work best in the Moonglow rift?
