Magik Academy

The Magik Academy helps everyone and it is non-guild based. You can either do it IC or OOC. We are tutors, teachers and helping hands. You will find it easy to interact... at least while you are respectful. (As we have no patience for leet Fellucans or arrogant Trammies.)

Goals:
- explain to everyone what is the fastest way to gain magik related skills,
- help char. development by pointing to templates, suggesting stats and gear,
- create a circle of guilds that work together to help the newcomers,
- 24/7 backup, either using uo chat or other options,
- please add your own goals...

Procedure:
- post possible templates,
- gather all med-able LRC 13 or better low resist pieces,
- gather all med-able mana regen 2 low resist pieces,
- gather all mana wasting skills 110s power scrolls and mage related (magery, eval, resist, meditation, bushido, chivalry, ninjitsu, focus...),
- add your own ideas here...

Stack the items, sort them and make special welcoming packs with:
- 1 spellbook with at least all spells till circle 5,
- 1 runebook with a rune to Haven, another to the EyE, - 4k gold to buy the starting skills,
- a wand,
- lrc 100 suit,
- mana regen 12 suit,
- 10k for insurance.

After the young ones reach 80+ skill, supply them with the powerscrolls they need for further development and show them possible housing spots.

This should provide the newcomers their independence, a way to train almost all mage related skills, allows them to hunt and find a path towards their future.

If this is done right we'll have a thriving, respectful community... much unlike the smirking one we have right now.

Hi, my mage is Macduff and he is a Mage specializing in traditional magery with alchemy and a secondary in spellweaving. I've set out a template, but I'm not sure if it is the best, but here goes;

Macduff -Haven Griffon
Magery 110 (104.6)
Eval Int 110
Spellweaving 110 (93.4)
Meditation 100
Alchemy 100
Magic Resist 100
Wrestling 90 (81.5)

I'd like to get his top 3 skills to 120, but all in good time. The resist is to compensate for his suit which while not bad isn't the best in elemental resists due to his need for mana regen and lower reg cost properties. MANY thanks to all who were instrumental in helping me recover pieces of my suit which were lost due to a retarded oversight on my part. Any suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated!

Hello everybody! Well, this has been an interesting few days: major UO withdrawal following my hard-drive crashing (again). I swear I have only to look at a piece of electrical equipment and it malfunctions.

As Pitr states, the staff at the Magik Academy will be keeping our lrc armor and jewelry stocked, as well as spellbooks and other items associated with the special realm of magic.

Of course, I welcome donations of lrc items at any time!

In addition, if you are trying to build a mage suit with any other emphasis, e.g. resist or lmc, please write or speak with me ingame. I have a large stock of armor I have either looted and enhanced or created with Lady la belle, my chief crafter, and this stock is available to all within the guild free of charge, as needed.

Let me encourage you to contact me through a PM here at UOforums, email to uobelle@hotmail.com, Vent (where I appear as Oriana), and ingame where my characters you'd be most liable to see are Oriana, la belle, belle d'argent, Savannah Dawn, abeille, belle, or bella. (Note that there are two belles in guild, an alt of myself and of the estimable Madam Rouge.

Dear sister, when you have a minute please create the MgKA.

Please add the following Emmys:
- Amber
- Tallus
- Shini
- Valthonis
(ask them if they want to be part of it...)

We will ally you... and change the basic Circle procedures.

CHANGES:
- all new friends will be in MgKA first...
- they will be asked to post their characters...
- after a few (8-10 days) they will be asked to join GRI.
- after 60 days (if they dont post anything) they will be re-asked and will have 3 days...

- Existing GRI members that have not posted their characters will be requested to post them... if they dont they will be asked to join MgKA.

This will help the Circle... keeping our census, allowing us to randomly roll the special items the Circle is given without discriminating new/elders...
