Re: GRI NewsLetter-April

Wolf, requested alliance.
CyM, requested alliance.

Torm/Grit, no news.

Dri, joint hunts. Some members doing factions.

Moonglow Event:
- npcs answering to keywords.
- ophids... can we get items from them?
- new islands?

Wednesday Hunt moved to moonglow.

Tamers: lets look for the best dragons and trade high resist luck pieces.
Crafters: trade bods/recipes.
Mages: lrc with high resist.

Moonglow Blue Cross: Goals? Future?

Message boards... thanks to Safari/Adam we have both private and public boards.

What about a daily journal, pictures... and post them! It will supply everyone and the guild a sense of background and history?

Qu votes Yes for CyM - Reasons - Robert Pen Dragon is the founder and everyone who knows him respects him because he is smart and helpful for those learning new skills - I also joined CyM is my tamer in training and three other GRI members

Qu has decided to vote NO for Wolf - Reasons - The GM dosnt ever seem to interact outside his own click oh rpers on regular basis. Qu finds Wolfs intention more self fulfilling then supportive twords GRI goals.

-Qu may change mind if GM respond to Qu's ICQ and explain reasons himself!

Re: GRI NewsLetter-April

Strengthening alliances is always good. I've played in same places as Dri a few times, as well as DB4, and they've been helpful and non-threatening.

From a recent conversation with a member from a different guild, I wonder if some guilds wish to ally for purposes of wealth building in UO that transfers into real world wealth. Might not be such a bad idea to fund things like message boards and Ventrillo; however, the involvement of real money also brings about many other problems.

P.S. A million UO gold goes for about $2 real money.

BlackThorn Fortress (Ilsh... where we fought the golems).
Ophid Village (good one to explore!)
Terathan Keep (i explored it and found nothing... maybe you will)
SW corner of T2A (tower?)

Good luck.

Det(wo|f) has access to our 110s and lrc armor... been giving us spellbooks: magery and necro, plus runebooks... we're out.

Robs made us a UOAM server... again. Please ask for details ingame, PM or ICQ.

Warn everyone... the Shadowlords drop "DEATHS ESSENCE"... a very rare armor set. (please warn Lance)

Re: GRI NewsLetter-April

Hmm. I have a different perspective on Wolf from Qu. I have found them quite frequently helping out new folks who have found their way to Haven, including myself. They are always very willing to help find things, offer items, and knowledge.

Re: GRI NewsLetter-April

How to setup UOAM:

1) download it here:
UOAM.net - UO Auto-Map

2) ask for the link info ingame.

3) non uoa users will have a different setup, ask ingame.

Done.

On Grimswold Island near the rope bridge? That is a nice place - not too far from my little place.

Schitzo ‎(12:08 AM):
hey if worse comes to worse we don't ally or we do for a short while and stop $^*# happens it is what it is....
besides i come in and out of my hermit stages at random times....what better to do when not a hermit then join many?

Qu thinks Wolf GM terrible with politics but also said he want in alliance because his friend "Det" was lonely. Qu thinks being good friend more important then good leader.

Qu Votes Yes to Wolf alliance under these terms
- GRI offers all former emmies from 2007 Warlord Status on at least 1 character as a last line of defense should our rules be broken.

- all Wolf members agree to follow our 3 rules and post their alts

- Wolf is given two week trial period. (for posting alts)

- (optional) Pitr writes a UO book about GRI alliance and how it could fail or succeed from his point of view.

Re: GRI NewsLetter-April

The Time Lord appears to be on our side. (For the moment anyway.)

See
this thread.

Towards the end, someone posts the actual dialogue that took place before the black gate that could bring us back to real Moonglow.

Add to this the fact that Draconi stated, definitively, in another thread that the Shadowlords are now loose, thanks to the blackrock detector.

1. The Shadowlords are definitely loose in the "real" world (meaning are loose from their realm, in Britannia proper someplace);

2. They definitely killed Kornos (no loss there, the moron);

3. It is definitely their minions we're fighting in the rift;

4. One of them at least (Astaroth, the Shadowlord of Hate) was behind at least one of the recent events (the attacks on the Shrines of Love);

5. The reason we're fighting their "echoes" left in the Void is that the "real things" are somewhere loose in Britannia proper.

Yes, the Shadowlords are behind this.

Why this isn't clear to Avery is beyond me....He wasn't there when the Rift opened up, and he's probably helping his bosses to control the flow of information, maybe?

Ruling Council: Go to Moonglow, set up some guards, and wait. And emphasize to everyone that there's no evidence the Shadowlords are involved.

Avery: But witnesses....

Ruling Council: There's no evidence that they were involved.

Avery: Aye.

a. A close association of nations or other groups, formed to advance common interests or causes.
b. A formal agreement establishing such an association, especially an international treaty of friendship.

Wo|f:
we share one common goal... help newcomers... quietly.
This alliance will help the newcomers... will fail when we stop caring about those popping in New Haven.

CYM:
Looks like a good way to have a united force of players with the same goals... will create smaller circles, but we have no right to tell folk what to do.
It will fail? I dont see how.
Success will be measured by the hours folk spend on their chars, have fun and hunt together...

I would like to see a unit of tamers, another of mages, another of archers... rocking the same area, sharing the same colors... but smaller circles and niches of confort will always be created... folk have a natural ability to clash and butt heads... our three rules reduce the level of the clash and the recurrent aftershocks.

Cya in game.
