Question Mining Question

Okay, so I ask people and either everyone is lying to me or I am the unluckiest person in the world. My question is:

Where would I most likely find blackrock?

The miner that I have 'tooltime' is at 100 mining (+gloves) and has 200 luck - what more do I need? what more should I do? this is confusing.

♥ Someone assist me in my search because I have been mining now for over a week constantly and cant find a darn drop of rock.

Re: Mining Question

From what I remember, it's all luck of the draw. I think there was supposed to be a slightly better chance in caves, but that could have been a slightly better chance at spawning a blackrock elemental now that I think about it.

Re: Mining Question

Hm. Ill have to keep that in mind.
I just think its crazy that my miner is basically as good as can be PLUS I have 200+ luck and I have been in and out of caves in Ilshner, Malas, and Tokono and still have turned up nothing.

Grrrr. Watch, Ill find some after the event. lol

well theres your problem... black rock doesnt spawn in malas... i know that because i spent a week mining there before someone told me that... not sure about tokuno, and i heard that ilshner was supposed to have the best spawn rate. that being said... i mine the caves around minoc and have gotten something like 10 pieces of black rock for about 18 hours of mining

Re: Mining Question

Luck has no effect on your chances to find either blackrock or gems.

It all up to the random number generator.

I have a gm miner also. I mine several hours a week trying to get ingots to fill my bods. Since they have introduced the chance to mine up blackrock I have gotten zero pieces. I usually mine in felucca. I have mined in ilshenar, since rumors is you have a better chance there, its just a rumor.

only thing you can do is keep at it.

Re: Mining Question

also note that the pieces are dark and very small... if your using the 2d client its very easy for the pieces to hide behind other things in your pack

Re: Mining Question

I have a gm miner, who doesnt use mining gloves at all. Anne Vil. little elf that she is, mines behind her home in a cave in Malas. Since blackrock elementals no longer spawn it is safe again to go out and mine..lol. Back to the topic, I get 1 piece of blackrock about every hour. As pointed out it is often times overlooked. I am surprise each time I find it in my pack. But then simple things get me excited. Anne has noticed that with more luck on she seemingly gathers more gems but not more blackrock. So this disproves the theory that blackrock can not be found in Malas as she mines no other places.

Re: Mining Question

I never mine in the caves but I still get blackrock in Trammel, though rarely. I think I get it when I am mining outside next to the cave so it's the same 8x8. I've always heard it's found with shadow ore only but I have no idea.
