Its much more rewarding playing a creep. You live eat and die in a non consensual pvp zone. Makes "levelling" much harder than freeps who basically grow up and get phat loot and levles in a happy-go-lucky non pvp zone.

I actually think its a lot more "IC" to play a creep also. I dont really understand what the reason for freeps being in the Ettenmoors is - to take and hold the keeps? Who leads the freeps? You know what I mean?

Call me a purist but playign a creep is much more rewarding - and much tougher than playign a freep

Nearly completed the Rift armour set, just the shoulders left to get (they're the last item from the Balrog) was fairly close to getting them last sunday but was outbid just but fingers crossed for soon Rift is quite hard until you got a raid where 75% of people know what they're doing on each boss then it's not so bad, Thorog though is just nuts - he does one debuff that if you don't cure in time that person dies taking everyone nearby with him and game over! Had 3 or 4 attempts at him and not done it yet :S

And there was a time when working as a team to defeat a boss would have been right up my street. But over the years in the MMOs I have played one thing seems always true of PVE : the boss mobs just have shedloads of HP and can instakill players. Thats true of nearly all MMOs.

There is massive skill involved and I admire it totally.

But to play against another player is to me always the epitomy of an MMO. I came into UO from Quake and ever since have been lookng for a good pvp game.

Guild Wars is still probably my favourite but Creeping in the Ettenmoors has the most pleasurable feeling [when its going well or there is an even battle]

Look forward to finishing my passives on Karak then Im goign to rank him as fast as I can.

Oh absolutely, I like my PVP too; the one thing I miss about Lineage2 is the completely open PVP everywhere. Each style of play offers a different set of challenges and joys in overcoming them as a result And I can certainly see why people choose to play creep and am grateful they do as PVP without worthwhile opponents would be very boring! I have had a potter about on a Warg (Vapourfang if you ever see him) and will pop onto him every now and then so look out for me in /OOC

No mate, can't be bothered! I stay in same gear and same traits - lazy player :s I paid alot of money to get the trait which deals damage and slows enemy attacks down but it costs 101 silver to equip and I would have to spend a small fortune every week to keep it equipped and at a 10 minute cool down it just aint worth it!
