Mariah looked at the markings on the map and then looked at the two golden box laying up on the floor.

*chuckling, “ This should provide some fun.”

Mariah Readied The Black Diamond and gave Jake the map. "Jake, where we go be marked on t' map. We have a special mission t' fulfill.” She then opened up a book in which was the instructions to where the Golden Surprise would be to delivered . Mariah smiled.

Jake looked at the map and nodded “Aye Aye Captain.”

Mariah carefully surveyed the dock and seeing no one about, had The Black Diamond came to a slow next to the dock. They had arrived at their destination Southern Island of Jhelom. Mariah tucked each golden box underneath her cloak, tucking the book under the waistband of her pants.

Quietly and swiftly she made way to target one. Placing the Golden box in inconspicuous place.

Again she made her way to target two. So far so good nobody really noticed as she walked through town. Quietly she made her way back to the dock where The Black Diamond lay waiting for her. Once on the ship and under way she was home free.

Mariah started going up the plank when she heard a bunch of shouting. Almost.

Mariah could feel the dampness of the prison walls. Outside a lot of mumbling was going on. At the door stood a guard dressed in red uniform, in fact the whole hall was filled with red, too bad it wasn’t red of blood, she thought to herself. In the other cell she could hear Ole Sal howling like a nut cake. The guards where not quite sure what to think of him or if they should even go near him. Good Ole Sal.

They had taken all of her belongings, but the book was still tucked in the band of her pants. Sitting on the bed, she took out the book and began to munch it page by page. Now to find the Golden Surprises would take a search as she would never reveal where they were. Any evidence of where now took place of her hunger.

It was not long after when a couple of the guards came into ask her questions.

“Who was the Dark Lady?” asked a young man of the guard.

“Hmm, t' Dark Lady, what Dark Lady you be speakin' of.” Mariah answered scratching her forehead.
“The Dark Lady that was mentioned in the will.” He asked in frustration

Mariah placed her finger on her chin, “Well now young man, t' Dark Lady in t' will,. You know me brain be bit fogy o' that night. You see after t' will was read a lot o' us went t' t' Inn and celebrated. I drank too much rum I did. I starboardly don’t remember any mention o' t' Dark Lady.”

“Who is this Dark Lady, your boss? Who is over you. Perhaps this will help you remember.” as the guard reached over and thunked Mariah in the head.

“Hey! now young man, that’s no way t' treat a guest. And no one be me boss I be me own. There be nobody over Mariah T' Black Rose only under alive or dead.“ Mariah plunked down on the bed grinning.

The Guard started mumbling again with questions. About this time an ole tune popped up in her head, She began to sing to drown out the guard.

The Guards disgusted left the cell. When the song was done Mariah chuckled to herself and rested her head up on a make shift pillow. This was gonna be a long night indeed.
