Nine Lies looked at the smouldering debris. It was fortunate that a bucket line had managed to put out the smithy before the fire had spread. Trinsic's raid against the Bucs Den holdings of VTC had resulted in various fires as VTC's mages tried to burn the arresting officers. Neither side had managed to secure the island, and it was the locals who suffered. Worst, there had been strange noises from the jungles south of the main settlement on the island, most likely because of some dark power summoned to VTC's aid.

She shook her head. It may be time to ask for help. Maybe some additional forces could get VTC out of Bucs and return the island to relative quiet. She dispatched a messenger to her sister-in-law asking for help.
