A Sheath, The DAGR, and A Bottle of Ale

"It aint ra't I tell ye, dis islan 'ere fer plund'r n loot! I say t'aint ra't 'avn dem Navy dogs crawl'n 'bouts dis place! Says I dey needs booted from dis 'ere island!"

"Well, matey cant say I don't disagree wit ye. *whispers* but we suppose to be friendly like now ya see."

Another round of Savage Ale and the scheming and plotting continued. Deep in a back room low lights and smoke filled reeking of Ale, cheap tobacco and dirty old men a treacherous plan worked itself out in the hearts and minds of pirates not wishing to be ruled by order. Buried far in an underground cavern far from prying eyes a secret stash of privately acquired wealth sat in wait for the perfect moment to be lavishly tossed about by men who have no idea how to horde things for future use. When these drunken sailors discovered that their storehouse was raided it was immediately assumed that the Navy had found it and confiscated it. Not having the blessing of the Pirate leader those who now find themselves paupers again had need of devising another plan to make retaliation necessary.

Knowing that sooner or later which ever Navy dog came to raid the hide out would have to return the two pirates planted an irresistible treat as bait. The last of the treasured gold stored along with several kegs of Budswoman's new concoction were laid near the entrance along with a wicked trap designed to fell a bear. With the trap set all that was needed was a bit of waiting and some proper Pirate luck. Not three days later their luck turned out a lone Naval crewman. Posing as a wounded prisoner trapped by their clever trickery Ten Fingers Joe waited for them to open the trap before springing forth as a wild beast knocking them both unconscious. After binding them to each side of their own trap he released from them the responsibility of caring for the kegs of Ale and the rest of the gold.

Late that night Joe {aka Lefty} took refuge on Captain Greyy's old pirate ship The Sparrow. There, while he slept off some rather unsavory affects of the ale he confiscated, he decided it would be best to leave his ill gotten booty in the hidden contraband hatch until another time when he could properly explain his possession of such items. At first light, tearing a section of his cloak on a loose board, Lefty slipped off into the mists heading for Doom. Most of his extra leave time was spent in the dark corridors of the undead dungeon.

Days later the other two Pirates, now having a fabulous story of how they were indeed ambushed and over taken by a Navy dog, were recovered Bud's heard a most incredible tale of their adventure. The more the story grew the hotter Bud's temper flared.

"Those Navy Pigs have gone Too far!" She roared with such vehemence the others near were afraid for their own lives. She went into such an uncontrolled rage that that even the blackrock ale brought to calm her nerves only added fuel to an already raging blaze.

"They will pay for this pathetic use of brute force and unmitigated gal!" Still raging and fuming the Pirate leader devised her own plan of retaliation.

"Tiberius Clearcastle you will rue the day we ever met!" Was the last thing she said before storming out to begin the turn key of events never to be see the world quite the same again.
