The moments just before dawn, these where when Guardians Gate was most beautiful, at least to Tiberius. He walked through Guardians Gate thinking of last night, the party after the pirates had joined the Guard and Navy, his conversation with Buds, things are changing he thought. As he walked toward the docks the first glimpse of the new days sun peeked over the horizon, with just that touch of light he could see the fog that hung over Guardians Gate and the mist rising off the Cove lagoon, he took a long deep breath, yes this was his favorite time of day. He walked past Emma’s new house and the docks came into view, he stood there a moment, he could just make out her tall masts and crows nest atop, she was as beautiful as any woman to him…EXETER….his flagship. She wasn’t the fastest ship on the seas, or in the Navy for that matter, but she was solid and true, with three gun decks holding one hundred and twenty cannons, there were not many ships that could best her in battle. These days he never felt at home unless standing on her deck with the salty winds of the sea blowing on his face.

This morning she was being readied for an extended tour, they must first check for any damage from a rogue wave that made landfall near the town of Cove, and make sure there was no injuries . After that, they would be looking for Greyylene and her ship the VHARCAN. He must find her, but the message he must give her would be a hard one. DAGR disbanded, how would she handle it? He knew her well and was taking no chances. EXETER was being readied for battle.

Commodore!! He had been seen, it was getting lighter.

Yes Tempus?

Sir, the EXETER will be ready within the hour.

Thank you Tempus. Please inform Roland that he will be in command until my return. After you have done that get back to your ship and hurry its construction. I will have a mission for you and your ship and crew when I return.

Be well Tempus. Tiberius smiled as he walked up the gangplank of EXETER, he liked Tempus and was glad he had chosen to join the Navy, he had been a very good crewman and was shaping into an even better admiral.

FIRST TO ME!! Tiberius yelled as his foot hit the deck.

Release all mooring lines and bring up the anchor, we leave now.

The first four days were uneventful, other then a little flooding in houses outside Cove there had been little damage form the rogue wave. Tiberius had then turned EXETER towards the deep sea. It was while Tiberius was eating his lunch that the call came.

SHIP AHOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tiberius heard his second yell.

Lyra came into Tiberius’s cabin sweat running from her brow.

Sir we have come up on a ship that has been destroyed, its pieces strung out all over and a hull barely afloat.

Very well begin a search for survivors.

We have already found some sir, it’s the VHARCAN sir..

Destroyed? That cant be!!!

But it is sir!! We have taken aboard a two survivors already!

Tiberius sat down hard. The VHARCAN destroyed? if one was damaged then the other....

After hours of searching they had 26 survivors and had at last found its captain.

As Greyylene was pulled up onto the deck she fell to her knees.

She looked at Tiberius, I sent a pigeon to Port Baldmor, how is it you find me?

Tiberius kneeled down beside her, Greyy the DAGR has disbanded, its members have joined either the Guard or Navy.

As he watched, what was left of Greyylene on her knees on the deck of his ship he knew she had died. not in the physical sense to be sure…but the spirit was gone. She had lost The VHARCAN and now DAGR, the last vestages of rage and need for revenge, gone. Now he thought, now is the time she can sink no lower, now she has lost everything, now it is time to help her finish her journey.

With two crews watching Tiberius knelt down to Greyylene and whispered something into her ear, he then stood up and took a step back. She looked at him, she was completely shocked, could it be true, after all this time....



She looked into his eyes and began to weep uncontrollably. Her crew began to surround her protectively as she looked up to the heavens and begged..please grant me another chance…….and looking right at Tiberius she whispered…Nelgethaun……
