Ale from Stone: Written by Greyylene
Ale From Stone (Written by Greyylene) “Careful Buds that stuff can kill ya!” “I know what I’m doing.” *BOOM* “Oh yea you know Real well what you’re doing!!” *An Corp* *sips the ale* *raspy whisper* “Oh yea, good stuff.” *cough* The black rock disease has spread through the DAGR camp inflicting its insanity on many of the crew. We have taken great pleasure and some degree of pride in the ability to spread mayhem and chaos where ever we may travel. This new “power” seems to intensify the chaos by infecting not only our crew but also other creatures we pass. The mysterious magic words and the power that surges through the veins seems to be intoxicating in its own rite, but now there seems to be yet another perk useful to Pirates. It has been discovered, quite by accident, that not only is black rock quite volatile but it is also rather porous. On a lark in a drunken stupor Buds and Bad Juju discovered that adding pieces of black rock to the Pirate Ale sweetens the ale and adds a bit more of an intoxicating kick. This new found information firmly planted in their minds the idea was hatched on how to distill black rock to make more ale. Indeed smithy’s have been purifying ore and rock for ages, what difference would black rock be to this ore pulled from the ground by the blacksmiths? Coals were heated to unbearable temperatures and special vials, bottles and flasks were made to withstand the intense heat. A few ingredients were thrown in for stability and then adding the black rock produced a single mug of this new ale. “It works!” The minor hazard of blowing oneself to tiny bits all over the roof not withstanding, the still was set and the black rocks collected to make more of this fine brew to be served at gatherings and special occasions in the Soggy Barnacle. Not being, technically, contraband the USN cannot do anything more than come enjoy the fruits of the labor. There is a bit of a concern as to what long term effects may be with this new way of directly ingesting black rock. Those concerns will work out for themselves and none will worry much, for tonight we drink and tomorrow we forget! ~The End~ ![]() ![]() "The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist"
