We got the new server and its freaking shweet!!!!

Migration has begun of the following functions:

• DB Backups are being performed to assist with the migration of the forums (so I don't have to manually re-register all the people)
• Our DJ Test server is being moved over.
• WRR's Human Resources Dept. is moving over (and will be active here really soon)
• Our current Now Playing info box code is being moved over.
• Auto-Dj is being installed and configured (this is the best part since we currently handle non-dj airtime rather annoyingly *grumbles*)
• Music will begin to upload soon as all the necessary accounts are setup.

And the following is being done:

• Migration to Icecast server program instead of the rather limiting Shoutcast server program.
• Back-end optimization ***DONE***
• Server setup and policy settings ***DONE***

If all goes right we should have the streams off of ViaStreaming and on our own servers along with the other stuff by atleast the first week of December.

The website is staying on its current host.

How does this affect you all?

Well it doesn't I just like to keep my public informed of whats going on! The transition from ViaStreaming to our own server shouldn't be felt by the general public as it will more than likely be done during an "off-peak" time.

UPDATE:
Test run tentatively scheduled for Sunday November 25th.
