The Court has long been the centre for those who wish to stand against the Greater Darkness and for sure we have had our successes, as well as some failures, over the years in doing so.

However we have never applied ourselves to fully cataloguing and assessing those, whether they be human or non-human, who by their misuse and abuse of magicks do contribute to or even support the growth of the Darkness. Without such knowledge how can we formulate our strategies to combat the threat ?

Therefore I charge the Order to instigate a Grand Assay to search out and report on such threats. These may be amongst the populations of the towns and settlements of the Realm, but may equally also be the inhabitants of the dungeons and wildernesses around us. All must be tracked down, if need be confronted and our findings written up within the Tome of the Assay which I shall instigate presently.

Successful participation of this Assay shall be a requisite for members of the Order to rise in position within it.

However you shall not be able to achieve these aims without the aid of others within Court. Our Mages have expertise vital in analysing the nature of magicks and their use or misuse and our Explorers and Scouts have the knowledge to lead you into the furthest flung places of the lands.

We can only succeed in this crucial endeavour if all the Court play their part in it. We shall meet this week to discuss our first objectives for the Assay as well as any other business Court members may have.
