I should have pics soon, but yeah me and my friend and his family went to the Texas Ren Faire... It was so fun!! Me and My Friend were dressed up and had tons of fun... I cant wait for next year I will be working at the Muskogee, OK faire, and I am going to be a Pubber, and I get paid to sing and drink... and drink... and... drink! Anyways yeah I'll make sure I get some pics up soon!

I still haven't made it to TRF. I keep meaning to, yet every year it is still too far away. I go to Scarborough all the time up here though. (Texas is just too damn big ain't it?)

Seriously.. sounds like a good time. We had a blast last month and I've started recollecting garb (well I have a new cloak now anyway) so I expect we'll be visiting more soon!

We have an annual RF here in Ohio, but from pics and such, it is nothing in comparison to some around the country. After attending for the first time about 15 years ago, I decided I wanted to dress in-costume the next year, so I sat and made a set of chainmail armor with leather surcoat and such. Much to my chagrin, I didn't consider the weather during our faire, which, during September, is nothing but hot and humid, so the next year when I strapped on the 30 pounds of chainmail and ten pounds of leather (on top of the padded tunic to prevent chafing, of course!) I spent the day miserable... lol... It looked really cool, but...

My costume has since been retired to a box someplace, in favor of shorts and t-shirt most years (unless I feel really creative and make something new).

I hope to visit more RF's in the future, since ours is pretty much the same thing every year. It is still fun, but would like to see others.

Ohio huh? Thats not too far.. and I have friends that are currently living near Dayton. When and where would I be looking to go to Ohio?

The faire in Ohio (at least the one I know of) is at Caesar's Creek, just off I-71 near Paramount's Kings Island Amusement Park. It usually starts sometime in August and runs through September. If I find the website, I will post it also.

I went to the TRF this year, unfortunately it was with a field trip on student day so no alcohol was served on the fairgrounds If you haven't been/seen what the TRF is like, check it out. I might try to get around and post some pics from the day I was there as well.
