We all know that Caesar Maximus Maddux is concerned about things other than lining his pockets with gold...now, now.. of course, we do! On a recent stroll about the Empire, Caesar noticed that the orphans of war in Azeroth suffer from a lack of adequate clothing. To rectify this situation, all members of the Guardians of Elune are asked to submit pieces of cloth to SILKELF to be made into clothing for these unfortunate children. To motivate our citizens to be generous, a reward is being offered to the individual who donates the most cloth.

THIS REWARD WILL CONSIST OF 20 PIECES OF GOLD!

The gold will be rewarded based upon the following rules:

1. Collect and submit pieces of cloth. No bolts. Any kind of cloth is acceptable. (1 piece of linen is counted exactly the same as 1 piece of netherweave.)

2. Using the in-game mail service, mail your cloth to Silkelf (in stacks of 20, please). This is a character specifically set up for contest purposes by Eowyna. A running tally of submissions will be kept. Just mail it as you complete a stack, no need to hold it all until the end.

3. You may NOT enter cloth which is already stored in your bank or pack. You may NOT enter cloth purchased from vendors, auction houses or any other source.

4. Cloth will be counted only for the character who mailed the cloth. (i.e. you may NOT enter cloth with more than one character and have it added together.)

5. Two people may NOT combine their collected cloth to submit under one name. This is an individual, not a team, event.

6. Contest will begin Sunday, Sept. 2, and run for 4 days. No submissions received after midnight, server time (PDT), on Wednesday, Sept. 5, will be allowed.

7. PRIZE: The character submitting the most pieces of cloth will be judged the winner. The prize is 20 gold. In the unlikely event of a tie, the gold will be divided equally between winning entries.

8. This contest is open only to members of Guardians of Elune.


So, good citizens, let us be generous and furnish the children with warm clothing and blankets for the upcoming cold months! Begin sending your cloth to SILKELF beginning Sunday morning. You are all put on honor to comply with the rules. This will be the first of several opportunities for members of the Guardians of Elune to receive golden rewards for their efforts!

I'm a bit torn, I'm working a Tailor but yet 20 gold looks prettier then the shirts I'm making lol

The contest was structured that any cloth can be turned in for the same value. Linen, wool, silk, etc all have the same value. Eventually in your training you will surpass the gain vale of linen and will be able to turn that in.

The contest only runs 4 days, it won't put you too much behind in your tailoring, Tov. And, as you say, 20 gold???

Thanks to all of you good citizens, alliance tailors a busy plying their needles to the stacks and stacks of cloth donated for the betterment of conditions for the orphans of war. The children will be warm this winter because of your generosity.
