"Where was I? Oh, yes. Well, metal to make armor and weapons for the warriors of Elune is needed! Not being inclined to follow the Dwarven habit of delving into the deep, I am calling upon the miners of the Guardians of Elune to wield their pickaxes in the cause of defending those protected by the Goddess! We need ore! To motivate all you industrious miners, a rewards will be presented to those who contribute the largest quantities of ore."


THIS REWARD WILL CONSIST OF:
(FIRST PLACE) THE PLANS FOR MITHRIL SPURS, VALUED AT 45-50 GOLD + 10 GP.
(SECOND PLACE) 20 GP
(THIRD PLACE) PROCEEDS FROM THE SALE OF ALL THE DONATED METAL. *Darn it!*

The prizes will be rewarded based upon the following rules:

1. Collect and submit unsmelted ore. Any kind of ore is acceptable. (1 copper is counted exactly the same as 1 mithril, etc.)

2. Using the in-game mail service, mail your ore to OREDWARF. This is a character specifically set up for contest purposes by Eowyna. A running tally of submissions will be kept. Just mail it in stacks of 20 ore please, no need to hold it all until the end.

3. You may NOT enter ore which is already stored in your bank or pack. You may NOT enter ore purchased from vendors, auction houses or any other source.

4. Ore will be counted only for the character who mailed the ore. (i.e. you may NOT enter ore with more than one character and have it added together.)

5. Two people may NOT combine their collected ore to submit under one name. This is an individual, not a team, event.

6. Contest will begin Friday, Sept. 21, and run for 4 days. No submissions received after 8pm, server time (PDT), on Monday, Sept. 24, will be allowed.

7. PRIZE: The character submitting the most ore will be judged the winner. The prize is the PLANS: MITHRIL SPURS + 10 gold. Second place: 20 gold. Third place: proceeds from sale of submitted metal.

8. This contest is open only to members of Guardians of Elune.

I have no intention currently of playing this character until at least merthe is more developed but I dont mind mining to fill the coffers and attempt to win the prize money or does it have to be the character that does mining which means my little noob "crisps" needs guilding Oh and if so I hope you want lots of copper

Yep, Merthe, you will need to guild Crisps. Catch any one of the officers to do that for you. (I believe that would be Snuggs, Cabe, Rascal, Maddux, Eruu, or myself.) And I take copper... it shines.

Mirthirl spurs I believe make you go 3% faster on your mount. I need though to cheaply raise my blacksmithing at my level.

Quick question.. what about the stones and gems we get mining? Or is this Ore Only?

Well, I have NO interest in ordinary old stone...that's not pretty! Now, gems...*smiles* Perhaps I could be bribed with diamonds and pearls...
