Attention citizens! An emergency situation has developed in Ashenvale! Horde forces have cut off all food supplies to this province of the Elven Empire! The population is starving! Three legions have been dispatched to the area to handle the military campaign. However, in the meantime, we need to feed the people...and also our legions! The good news is everyone likes fish!

So, a weekend fishing holiday has been declared, with all the fish donated to the provice of Ashenvale to keep the people alive and the legions on the march. Get those poles ready, for beginning Friday morning, we will be accepting all kinds of fish. To motivate everyone there will again be a reward to the person donating the most fish.


THIS REWARD WILL CONSIST OF 20 PIECES OF GOLD!

The gold will be rewarded based upon the following rules:

1. Collect and submit fish. Any kind of fish is acceptable. (1 grouper is counted exactly the same as 1 greater sagefish, etc.)

2. Using the in-game mail service, mail your fish to FISHELF. This is a character specifically set up for contest purposes by Eowyna. A running tally of submissions will be kept. Just mail it as you catch a reasonable amount, no need to hold it all until the end.

3. You may NOT enter fishies which are already stored in your bank or pack. You may NOT enter fishies purchased from vendors, auction houses or any other source.

4. Fish will be counted only for the character who mailed the fish. (i.e. you may NOT enter fish with more than one character and have it added together.)

5. Two people may NOT combine their collected fish to submit under one name. This is an individual, not a team, event.

6. Contest will begin Friday, Sept. 7, and run for 3 days. No submissions received after 8pm, server time (PDT), on Sunday, Sept. 9, will be allowed.

7. PRIZE: The character submitting the most fish will be judged the winner. The prize is 20 gold. In the unlikely event of a tie, the gold will be divided equally between winning entries.

8. This contest is open only to members of Guardians of Elune.

So bait your hooks, attach those lures, sit back with your ale in hand, and send those fish to FISHELF. We can't have the people in want, and legions don't march on empty stomachs. Good luck to everyone!

Maddux the last time we got involved in Fishy puns we went like 15 pages, lets not start that again shall we?

I only know of one way to have fun fishing and thats to put my kitty on aggresive and let him run around me agroing everything and looting as I fish

Just a side note if anyone is planning on entering this contest and has not fished yet...there is a little gnome right by the inn in darkshore that gives a fishing quest..so you can gain a little extra reward while gaining in skill and pulling up fish..he is behind the inn on the water

He will also sell you a pole if you need one!

Also there is a gnome upstairs in the inn that also gives a fishing quest

quest rewards arent great but it will relieve some of the boredom of just fishing away
