Thumbs up "Tailoring guide, UOSE"

0.0 - 29.0 = Buy it up
29.0 - 41.4 = Make Short Pants
41.4 - 53.9 = Make Cloaks
53.9 - 74.6 = Make Robes
74.6 - 99.6 = Make Oil Cloths

Then it depends on whether or not you have used a scroll:

No scroll:
99.6 - GM = Cloth Ninja Hoods

105 scroll:
99.6 - 102.1 = Oil Cloths
102.1 - 105 = Cloth Ninja Hoods

110 scroll:
99.6 - 104.6 = Oil Cloths
104.6 - 110 = Cloth Ninja Hoods

115 scroll:
99.6 - 107.1 = Oil Cloths
107.1 - 112.5 = Cloth Ninja Hoods
112.5 - 115.0 = Studded Hiro Sode

120 scroll:
99.6 - 109.6 = Oil Cloths
109.6 - 115.0 = Cloth Ninja Hoods
115.0 - 120.0 = Studded Hiro Sode

Gains will be sooooo slow after a while with oil cloths... in fact gains will be sooooo slow from about 90-120!

Keep at it though and you'll be at your cap before you know it!

Good luck!!

Re: Tailoring - What to craft

As long as you have all the material needed you can go from 100-120 tailoring in one day at the blackrock area.

Re: Tailoring - What to craft

At 115 you will need leather, I went through about 15000 hides from 115-120 at the blackrock area.

Re: Tailoring - What to craft

Instead of ninja hoods, make elven shirts. Will take you to 115, and cost 3 less cloth per item. UO Forums exclusive!

Instead of suneate, you can get better gains for the same leather expense from the studded do starting at 115.

Re: "Tailoring guide, UOSE"

newbie question here... where is the blackrock area?

Also, how do you enhance items? I mean what can you enhance with?

Re: "Tailoring guide, UOSE"

I don't think the blackrock area exists anymore. It was part of an event. (Scrolls of Alacrity work the same, but are limited time only)

You can enhance leather items with.... leather. 3 types, spined, horned, and barbed. Each has different enhancements which should be tailored to the piece of armor getting enhanced.

Re: "Tailoring guide, UOSE"

*sigh* no idea WHAT happened to my enhancing threads.
Shayna,
1) Get your skill as high as you can afford. Enhance chance is better the higher your skill. For enhancing, talismans have no effect. Neither does luck.

2) Use this chart from stratics to determine which leather is best.
Most crafters use either spine for luck enhancements, or barbed for resists. Horned does a couple less resists. The benefit of using horned is a slightly decreased chance of failure (since you are not trying to increase the base resists of the item as much).

3) In the crafting gump, select the leather type you are using

4) Select "enhance", (cross your fingers, hold your breath)

5) Target the item to be enhanced.

This is NOT to be confused with using barbed, horned, or spined when using a runic sewing kit. Different set of rules there.
