making a 120 tailor

i am not sure on this for tailoring is new to me is the enchansing the same as weapons for tailors where you can just split the mods around or is it like fletching when a certain cloth would add mods ..just wanted to know if it is so i can keep a eye out for good enchansable armor

Re: making a 120 tailor

I haven't reached 120 on my tailor yet. I am at 112, but I do know that the risk of destorying an item it too high to try enhancing. But it is risk that I take from time to time trying to get the best armor.

As far as the different mods, yes the different runic kits used with the type of leather adds different mods. UOstuff.com and a lot of information for crafting.

I used a barbed runic kit with barbed leather and created some awesome sleeves a couple of months ago. good lcr, lmc, mr, and resist.

Re: making a 120 tailor

Leather is like ingots. It adds resists, no mods (except luck). Check out this link on stratics:

And for ideas on what to keep:
Armor/Weapon/Archery/Jewelry/ property charts w/ caps
And:

Merc, are yu using the UO:ML Tailor guide? You can get to 115 off of cloth (MUCH CHEAPER). ANd you can still buy cheap cloth at New Haven (at least on Lake Austin).

Re: making a 120 tailor

WOWZERS, great find!
Tony, I would use barbed leather. Some would advise using horned for it, with a slightly higher chance of success. I used the enhancing armor calculator on stratics and came up with 47% chance of success for spined (which you dont want to do), and an EQUAL chance for barbed and horned (18%).
SO, it is really up to you. Do you want to sell it? Then go with barbed. Do you want it for resists in a suit? Then go with whicever complements your resists better.

Your final resists and chance would look like this:

Code:
Horned: 20 10 9 12 19 [70 total] 18% success
Barbed: 20 8 9 13 21 [71 total] 18% success
