Bowyer / Fletcher guide

This is quick and dirty.
Time to GM (cumulative) 14 hours avg
Boards needed : 60K
Tinker tools needed : about 100 GM made

Start skill / what to make /
0 / Buy it up

30(ish) / bows

50 / fukiya darts (saves about 8k boards)

68 / crossbows (X-Bow)

78 / composite bows

88 / Heavy X-bow

Tips and tricks:

1) If not concerned about money, you can place a trash barrel, then SECURE IT. ( I wish to secure this and target the barrel). Normally, when the trash barrel is full ( 125 items or 400 stone) you cannot place any more in it until it empties. Since you make them faster than it can delete them, this is bad.
Securing it enables "forced dumping", so when you hit the 125/400 limit, it empties automatically.

2) You can recoup quite a bit of your cash outlay (about 75%) by reselling your bows to NPC vendors. Suggest having a rune book marked with different stores to sell.

3) Save your bows, and use them to get recipes at Heartwood quest givers. Cillithia and Jusae offer the quests.

On a side note gains from 95 upward are very slow and if you are doing quests while gaining it will take you an extremely longer amount of time however you should be able to easily acquire several sets of all the rare fletching recipes.

Hopefully I can ask a question here..

I am at 95.6.. what is the best item to make to get the best gains? I've been doing repeating crossbows but nothing in like 3 runs. (Lumbering wood, bringing it back from fel..making the bows, selling..takes me an about 2 hours or so for one run)

go to heartwood and make the hardest bow you can for the quests try to get some rare recipes and maybe a runic or two

should be heavies and repeaters!
