Hello all - this is my first post, though I fear I've been lurking quite a bit - I've left this site up on my browser for so long, I seem to be taking first place for "most online!"

Anyway. I, like so many many others, am just coming back to UO - in my case after about 5 years. I wasn't even sure people were still playing, so I'm really excited to see that the community is still thriving!

So I've had this nagging question about BODs and fame, which I know is not new but I still can't find much info. Are there any tables out there that list just how much fame you gain from different smith/tailor BODs?

I've been working on an old character, filling tons of BODs - but I have yet to gain even one lousy title. And I can't count how many Glorious Lord Whatever, Legendary Smiths I've seen hanging around Britain ... I just cannot fathom how they got those titles! Am I missing something?

Odds are, those other crafters did it with Magery (and EVs).

well the legendary title you see on smiths and tailors just means that they have used a 120 power scroll and have worked their characters up to that skill level. Yes you can earn a 120 smith/tailor powerscrolls by turning in the correct larges. might I suggest this program, I did not write it and it has not been updated in years, but it is still 100% accurate as far as the rewards and gold you get for turning them in: Nystul's Notebook

as far as lord/lady titles. I have reached Lord on both my tailor and blacksmith by just turning in bods, it takes quite a few. and there is no table/list on how much you gain with each bod turned in. Though from observation I have gotten more fame from turning in completed larges than the smalls I cycle through. as for getting to glorious you going to need help if you want that title

Nearly 7 years later my legendary tailor is the Distinguished lady .. Until today (sitting at the end of the casca) she has never killed anything. I took my boredom out on the rats.. but then a paragon spawned haha.

I got the Distinguished from killing the rats and just recently acquired the lady title from bods.

thanks for the advice, everyone. I downloaded Nystul's Notebook - thanks, Warsong! - and I guess I'll just keep plugging away at the BODs. Any suggestions for BOD vendors on Atlantic?

Also, I've been considering uoassist, but I can't seem to find any info out there as to whether the thing works with KR ... or whether ANY of the 3rd party apps work with it! I still have an old copy of the dreaded "R" program (I had no idea it was illegal!) and UO automap, but none of them seem to be working with the KR client ...

None of the approved 3rd party apps work with KR, this was the entire idea behind KR. Personally I use 2D, because KR just stopped patching for me (now matter how many times I redownloaded it) and the graphics are a matter of personal tastes, I do not find them that big of an improvement over 2D. UOAssists does not work with KR, but if you had Assist on the account (if you reactivated) you can still use it with the 2D client.

there are programs that work with KR but they can not be mentioned here, nor are they approved to be used with KR.

No problem with the notebook, I try to suggest it to everyone but for some reason many people just blow it off. I really like how you can work it, when you are not in game. and if you really play with it, you can also import all you bods through uoassist and make a master list.

If your crafter has gm magery, make friends with a good disco-peace bard. Have them take you to slay succubi in the Fan Dancer Dojo. Let them direct peace and discord the demons while you toss a pair of energy vortexes. You'll be royalty tagged in no time. If you want to work honor there as well, honor the succubus before damage is done, she buffs herself, and discord plus "AREA" peace her. P.S. Do not stand too close to her, because she has a wicked area affect attack.
