It had been a grand day for Captain Escaflowne, or had it?
He got his way and justice had been served against the treacherous Kiran of the Trading Company leading to a victory in the trial and thus the execution by cannon of the convicted.

Escaflowne stood outside the town hall after the crowds had cleared off and the mess cleaned up....he stretched as he conversed with the beautiful Ria'hon after a good days work.

His day and the near future were about to get worse though......as he finnaly got to spend some quality time with Ria'hon, it hit him, it hit him right in the neck. A huge axe had come crashing down on Escaflowne from a hooded fellow lurking in the shadows. Blood sprayed into the air as Escaflowne collapsed; hand on neck until the Vesparian soil and his lifeless body connected.

The ringing sensation was all that could be heard in Escaflowne's ears as he stared up at Ria'hon swiftly dealing a flurry of blows to the assassin. His vision clouded over as he passed out to only reopen his eyes once again that day catching a small glimpse of Lurtz and Ria'hon carrying him on their shoulders. But as soon as the vision was restored, it past away again like the wind.



As white as bone from the loss of blood, Escaflowne lay in the healers with Ria'hon sleeping by his side where he still lies this very moment....
