We gather outside the Swaggers at 8pm UK Time this Saturday to carrying on collecting the resources required to build a new ship. We need to do this to replace the Randy Rebel in our fleet as it recently was sunk by the dragons that nested in West Vesper! Out intelligence also reports a caravan accompanied by the Yewish and Britannia guards from Yew to Britain which yes of course we will be raiding at around 9pm onwards, so be sure to turn up!!!

The lads and myself were rallied together outside the Swaggers as usual at 2100 hours! The Captain gave us the low down on what's planned for the evening ahead, which was a raid on a Royalists caravan heading from Yew, to Britain. We'd head them off through the mountain pass near the crossroads, and we'd ambush them and take the loot of the caravan for ourselves!




Task seemed simple enough, so off we went. We got to the mountain pass and set ourselves up at the outposts eitherside of the exit. Now our plan was the magi up ontop of the towers, healing and assisting the ground force best we can.. Captain seemed rather confident and that confidence flowed amongst us.

The caravan approached in the distance, and as soon as they noticed us, they backed away.. then before we knew it, they were throwing explosion pots, filling the whole pass with flames.. we hadn't anticipated this and it was only the beginning of our downfall! As the flamed subsided, they charged, peircing a path through the ground troops, and charged up the towers taking us Magi out before taking care of the rest of the ground force.








We were beaten, down.. but certainly not out! We let them pass and licked our wounds, our pride slightly damaged.. but our blood boiled for this, we wern't giving up like this. After a quick breather we got back to our feet and we charged after them. The chance to cut them off again so we had to run through Britain and to their barracks to the North side of the city.








Once there, their Baron Edmund came out to meet us. Captain Escaflowne demanded they handed over the contents of the caravan load, but he declined, so we took him down quickly.




We then stormed the barracks, which was filled with filthy Royalists, the stench of them made my eyes water! They were tough, brutal, but dumb. Our clever tactics slowly began to over throw them as we took our time and slowly advanced. Before we knew it, we were defending the keep, taking down anyone who even attempted to come in!






Ultimately, we were victorious. The Britannian Guards and their Yewish friends had cowered away, beaten and mentally marked with their defeat. Although they left one vital person behind, their Baron. Not being able to find where they stashed the contents of the caravan, we took the Baron as our reward instead and took him home with us to Vesper.




Back at Vesper, the Baron was stuck into a cell while his fate was discussed between the Captain and the Mayor of West Vesper. Captain Escaflowne said that we should brand him with our mark, then discard him to find his own way home. Lord Heath on the otherhand said that would be a waste and we should take the advantage of something so valuable in our possession. They squabbled like this for a good few minutes, until our current Lord Baron, Deacon van Cocidius entered to see what was going on. Being updated on the situation, the Baron gave us our orders. He was not to be harmed currently, instead we would hold him ransom for the amount of 1,000,000 dubloons, for each zero less than the amount given that we receive, a limb was to be removed. That included his two arms, two legs, his penis, and his head.

The Captain and Mayor agreed with the Barons decision, seeing the sum of gold a reasonable price. With that money, the militia could have an arena erected in Vesper, something we lack. Myself and Lurtz were sent to give the message to the Britannian Guards under parlay. Lurtz gave the message whilst I guarded his back from any hidden attacks from the tree's. Luckily they respected parlay, they didn't want their Baron getting hurt, though if they'll pay the fill price by Tuesday, is yet to be known.
