To Captain Escaflowne

As requested, here is my report on the fieldcraft training led by me on Thursday. We had a very good turnout of eight soldiers, all ready to kick the fear of Greenie into any passing Loyalist, or to be honest, anything that moved.

I began with teaching them the basics of diversion. I split the group into two teams. One team had to guard a chest of treasure, while the other tried to take it. I showed the troops how by sending a small force first, they could lure the enemy away from the treasure, allowing the rest to retrieve it without having to get their hands dirty.

Once I was sure they knew what they were doing, we set off for the real task of the night... placing a giant Vesper flag right in the middle of Stonekeep! Unfortunately, all the guards were off marrying their cousins, so we met no resistance for the militia to try their new skills on. We did however manage to put down enough cloth to give a few of the Yewish a heart attack!

Because the militia had met no Yewish to take their frustrations out on, I decided to finish the night with a few duels. I picked one soldier, and let him choose who he wished to fight, thinking that this would allow them to get out their differences in a relatively safe environment!

In the end, it just turned into a group of people watching a drow fight a midget.
