Kirans Trial [ Pt.1 The Trial-with drawings ]
The Trial The Prosecution. The evening began jovially enough,as th town hall filled withthose coming to see Justice served,or not as in the case of some. ![]() The Baron asked for the prisoner, Kiran, to be brought from the cells, and a hushed silence fell over the building, till finally he arrived, flanked by two guards. His representative Phlebas, had held the procceding up ,somewhat, demanding his 'client' be better attired for his public. Unfortunately Kiran tripped whilst entering the town hall, and landed on Thari Macils foot, which caught him in a most sensitive area. This caused him to collapse to the ground clutching himself, and groaning. The Baron ordered he be helped to his seat. Finally proceedings began. ![]() Baron Olk Samsca laying out the format how the evidence would be presented both for and against the accused Captain Escaflowne,of the Vesper Militia as prosecutor ,took the floor first. ![]() He then called on Anna Marie Boon of the Swaggers,to give evidence about her statements. ![]() However, things took a slight turn for the worse,as Miss Boone began to retract the 'meaning' of her statement.. ![]() ![]() As the Prosecution tried to investigate this, the defence began to object and tried to stop matters. ![]() Moving on Escaflowne set about to prove Kirans guilt ![]() Miss Boone, made a valiant effort to mask over her reasons, backed by the Defence who called for more objections. ![]() ![]() Proceedings carried on ,accusations flowed ![]() and so did the nightshade. ![]() Eventully after calling his final witnessess, the Prosecutor, brought his evidence to an and ![]() Last edited by Escaflowne/Drew; 28th May 2008 at 07:31 PM. |

The Trial The Defence. The defence was next to speak. ![]() Phlebas ![]() Calling the first witness,Tessah,Phlebas began with which town she lived in Trinsic or Vesper. ![]() ![]() ![]() Phlebas dismissed Tessah, and then some discussion went on about Anna's confession of forged documents. The next witness to be called was myself. This caused some contention from Kirans supporters, who cliamed I was the Captains 'lover' . The prosecution asked for the relationship to be clarified. ![]() |

Re: Kirans Trial [ Pt.1 The Trial-with drawings ]
The Defence [cross examination]
The Captain asked if on the day in question, Kiran had indeed comitted treachery, toward Vesper, which I confirmed. ![]() The Defence asked permission to question me which was given. I was asked to describe whar the accused was wearing. This was easy to recall as he had not been dressed in the correct uniform, for which I reprimanded him. This did not please Phlebas ,as he obviously sought to catch me out by saying he was in full Militia uniform. So he then asked me to specify the exact date this occurred. This was some thing I needed to work back in my mind, but my lack of immediate response gave him the idea to try prove me as an unreliable witness. However the Baron over ruled the need for a specific date of an attack, as it had occurred more than that occassion by Kiran. Phlebas then changed tactics, and asked me to describe the bow Kiran was allegedly carrying, that I was struck with. This I could not do,and again it was deemed my evidence was just a fabrication, as any reliable witness woulod be able to describe it. I could not confirm the bow,I was shown by Phlebas was indeed Kirans or not. This gave rise to Phlebas, all but calling me a liar. Stating he had no further questions, the Captain allowed me to return to my seat. ![]() Further evidence was produced of Kirans treachery with Yew,against Vesper,in the form of a Valentine card, indicating a relationship with Klion D'Gar's wife. ![]() A debate broke out about who had'nt had relations with D'gars wife. ![]() Locke and I were discussing the matter, when some thing I said, caused the Defence suddenly ask to adress the Judge, and accuse Esca of perjury. ![]() The Baron dismissed the claim and the last witness was called ![]() Rebecca took her seat ,but was very nervous. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Ria'hnon; 6th September 2007 at 10:33 AM. |

The Verdict
After the Baron had called for an adjournment,Kiran was taken back to the cells,to await his punishment. Time dragged slowly by as the decision on Kiran was made in the upper room,by Hanse and Olk. Eventually the call came to return Kiran back to the town hall. A decision had been reached.!!!!!!!!!!! Captain Escaflowne led the escort ![]() Once back inside the town hall, Kiran took his place flanked by two guards to await his sentence. First was the charge of Treason. ![]() Next the Baron read out the charge of Murder. "Guilty" ![]() Gasps of shock filled the air, followed by jubilant cheers from those who came to see Justice dealt out. Kiran doubled over, the shock of the verdict hitting him ![]() |

The Exeution
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() After the fireball of Hanse Davion struck the cannon, the blast hit home true, and Kiran was blasted to pieces as ordered by the Baron. Justice has been served. Let this be a warning to all in Vesper. Treason and Murder will not be tolerated. Let Kirans execution be a lesson to all. |
