A previously neglected Baronial order was to clean out the cemetary near Cove, so ever eager to curry favour with our illustrious Baron Samsca, I gathered a task force of elite Republican soldiers to help me complete this mission. Partisan Thari Macil and Firebrands Havardur Vaski and Chloe de Mere joined me of their own free will.



After being denied an impressive magical appearance owing to a blocked rune, we were forced to run to the afflicted area. The brief exercise was sufficient to get our blood pumping and we breezed through the monsters waiting for us.




Despite indications to the contrary in the Baronial requests, there was only one lich to be found at the time, and while waiting I indulged in a brief moment of self reflection.



We were kept waiting for some time.



Upon killing the second lich to show up, along with his entourage, Firebrand Vaski discovered something on the corpse when it was really dead, obviously paying no mind to the warnings of his parents not to take hold of things that the origins are not known of.





After a brief distraction from what the Firebrand was telling me...





I made my decision with typical decisiveness and insightfulness, and we got on with the killin'.



It seemed some monsters were hiding from our wrath in the surrounding woodlands, so I delegated responsibilty for the graveyard to Partisan Macil and Firebrand Vaski, and took Firebrand de Mare into the woods to clear out the infestation, returning with plenty of loot to add to the pile.



Upon reaching 10,000 gold pieces, I decided enough was enough and had the team return to Vesper. The sum of gold, I felt, was not enough to present to the Baron, but too much to spend on personal expenses such as loose horses and fast women. I placed it in the chest outside the Armoury where it should be put to good use.



The book Firebrand Vaski recovered has been filed and will be studied at a later date.
