Escaflowne rised from his pit to sit down by the fireplace for a good read of the Morning Sosarian Poste, well it really turned out to be a bad read.

What the hell had happened the past few days while Esca had been in Delucia! Attacks on Cove by the militia after being given orders on what to do while he was not there, and then some sort of interview with him! Was there someone trying to frame him or something he thought....

He met up with Elliot Heath outside the town hall who threw down his gloves and challenged Esca to a duel because of what he 'said' in the interview. Esca explained to Heath that he did no such interview and asked what the men did on Sunday eve. Elliot explained that it was only Liberator Lurtz and a partisan on duty and that they were in Nuejlm helping to fight off the Vanguard attack there.



Escaflowne wasn't looking forward to his meeting with Cove at all, his first plan was to persuade them to aid with Vesper's fight against the Yewish but alot had changed now.
When they arrived at Cove the covians weren't too happy and stood guard fully armed as Escaflowne and Captain Raiden proceeded inside the nearest building for talks.
Escaflowne explained that it was not them, how a spy earlier in the week managed to get hold of a uniform and probaly replicated it to attack Cove. He told them that only two Vesper guards were on duty that night but four attacked Cove, he said how the interview was fake and didn't reflect his personality and attitude at all.
After a long winded convosation between Escaflowne and Raiden, Raiden finnaly saw light that it was a plot to turn the neighbouring nations against eachother. Just as they were agreeing to an alliance, a fight broke out between the vesparian and covian guards outside which was apparently sparked by a member of the Vesper Trading Company and not of the two guardforces. Raiden and Escaflowne both agree'd that it was an unfortunate incident and that the alliance would still go ahead, even with tensions increasing by the minute.....let us hope that all will turn out fine in the end.
