I could still hear it in the back of my mind all night. Me, Deacon van Cocidius, Baron of Vesper.. How the hell did that happen?! Not taking anything away from the glory, I’m more than over the moon about the decision. An impressive eighteen votes, far more than I expected from what seemed it’d be a close call.

Still, celebrations were cut short, as I was called straight to business! A man from Skara Brae wanted to talk to me about matter between the peace agreement between Skara and ourselves, or something. He wanted a peace treaty to be put in place, to avoid any future raids or other kinds of bother. Before he would want this to happen, he required us to give them a sum of gold which would amount over one hundred thousand as well as a public apology, for something that happened months back. I told him he was insane and I’m not giving him a penny, not without some solid proof that we took the item he can’t even remember! Of course he didn’t take it too well, and ultimately he declared war on us. Brilliant, I see this as a fine chance for our militia to get some battle experience as well as a good warm up before we aid the Rebels in regaining Cedarwood.

Amongst this, a member of the militia tried to kill the Skara Braen on his own decision. He was obviously drunk, and so he was arrested and stuck into a cell where he could sober up. I’m not sure on the details but Llandrell, the man arrested, apparently admitted to wanting to kill me. Five minutes in the job and already I’m wanted dead. I’m also lead to believe he tried to take his own life or such, which he failed at miserably if true.

I continued on to Trinsic with my dear friend, Madeline, where I met with friends and thanked them for their support and votes. I was accompanied by Demarian and Declan, who I did not order to come with me or anything. Nonetheless, they managed to get themselves into a pickle, harassing the guards and causing trouble. Ultimately I was thrown out of Trinsic! Which I am far from happy about!

Returning to Vesper, I went to the Swaggers, accompanied by Madeline still. We had a few drinks and she was painted nude by Reywal, good times. Before the night was out, Lord Ikus of Trinsic had to come visit me, with a copy of the Peace Treaty between Vesper and Trinsic, as well as a demand for the arrest of Demarian and Declan by Vesper militia. Esca has a copy, so I will leave the punishment to his decision for now, lets hope the don’t do it again.

The night fizzled to an end. Myself and Madeline retreated to my shack back at Bucc’s Den and we got an early night. Speaking for myself, I was exhausted. I only hope I can cope with all this work!

A new day dawned and I was awoken by a rotten smell which I can only presume came from myself. Despite the horrible start to the day, I stumbled out and off to the Town Hall, sitting in my new chair at the end of the table. It gave me time to reflect on where I was a year ago, a common Pirate, a criminal, and now I’m the Baron of Vesper, a well respected member of the public.. Or so I would like to think.

My second day as Baron of Vesper was equally as quiet as the first. To fight the boredom, I decided to do something constructive and organised a state visit to Cove. I say organised, but really I just turned up unannounced. I took Amarante along with me so she could experience how fun and exciting it is to be a Baron...

Upon our arrival, we found that the Covians had murdered three seemingly innocent people. Their excuse were that they were "brigands". Brigands my arse, but still we were not there to judge. Their fearless leader seemed to be this joke of a man, Hoagie. Funny name, funny face, funny smell.. reminds me of someone. Alas, we went indoors and we spoke of the past conflict between the neighbouring countries. I explained of out problems with Yew and now Skara, and how an unexpected attack from Cove would not do us any good, as poor fighters they are. We agreed on a deal and I will get some paperwork written up for him and I to sign in a few days. Apart from that, I have the rest of the day to go to Swaggers and get smashed with my fellow Vesperians.

Later on in the evening, after a brief nap, I had awoken to the news that my dear friend Jack, had been shot in the back. The causes and goings on are sketchy, but whatever happened, I will sort it. Jacks in a bad state, he can hardly walk and he's in so much pain. The story so far is that Declan shot Jack out of pure anger, as Jack had been sleeping with his girlfriend, Amarante. Jack's not sure he wants to press charges or not, but attempted murder is a very hefty crime to commit. Also to note, Amarante apparently assaulted Thaur, she is to be taken in for questions then stuck into a cell and fined, or released with a public apology. On top of that, Rebecca is busting my balls because of "Traitoring the Veeties" or something. Seriously, I consider each Veetie as family, but as Baron I have to stand tall and punish even those close to me, giving them time to reflect on what they've done and how they shouldn't do it again. EVER again..

Today was my first battle as Baron of Vesper. Now I know Skara are no where near any sort of a threat, but it was a good way for the militia to get in some practice, as they haven't been in action for a good while now.

As I mentioned before, the reason for the attack was pathetic at least. They accused us of robbing something from a Skara Braen wedding, which to my knowledge is not true. So in return they wanted the grand sum of 100,000 dubloons and a public apology. No chance I told them, and so we got into this situation. If they arn't willing to listen to my words, then listen to my militia as they tear you down!

Least to say, the battle was over in no time, an easy victory for Vesper. Although I did suffer a slight concussion as the hilt of a sword made contact with my head. Nontheless, I am over the moon, thats a one hundred percent winning record under me! Har!

With the battle won, and a banging headache, I felt there was need for some TLC, and also I had a suprise for my beloved Madeline. So off to Trinsic I went, and there she was in all her glory, as beautiful as always. I took her to the bridge in the park of Trinsic, and I asked her to marry me. Yes, I've not known her too long, but we feel so right together, I just wanted to go that extra step and make sure she's mine.. all mine. It will be a long engagement, as I'm only just getting used to being Baron, which in it's own rights is a full time job. She said yes, obviously, who wouldn't?

The rest of the evening was spent alone with her, but I shall not record what we did. But it was what I do best... HAR!

The past week hasn't been too busy, but there are many important changes I should record before I actually forget myself...

The first regards West Vesper and a trading line between ourselves and Trinsic. From now on West Vesper will be our main source for stuff to sell. By this I mean the mining of ore and jewels, to the gaining of wood from the woods. So I appointed a Governor and Governess of West Vesper to look over the producing of these resources, and to take it that step further and sell them at their shop in Trinsic. Ofcourse I am talking about Reywal S Hallow and his sexy lady-friend, Gia. Some people are like.. "Eh?" but I know they wont let me down. Heck, if they do, I'll bloody kill them..

Also we had some fella' who looks alot like some "Mario" from a childrens story, in his red pants and hat, with a trademark moustache. Anyway, he's the leader of a new political party, looking to free people from the ruling of Barons and Dukes. Ofcourse, I took this personally and the fact he was advertising this on Vespers land, really pissed me off. So, I fined him, and banned him from advertising in Vesper. !!!!!!!, I should of killed him really..

Now, some brilliant news.. I think. My beloved Madeline Warmbow has agreed to marry me. Hoo-rah! Lets just hope this one actually works out better and lasts longer than the ones with Eyen, Amanda, and Fabienne.. A date has been set, March the first! And the crowning of a Baroness.

To finish off, I am leaving Vesper this Sunday for a week. I am travelling to Galilee to visit friends and family and tell them of my success! I should be back late on the Saturday, if not early Sunday. So I'm going to leave Esca in charge of any political debate, if it comes to that. If I come back to find Vesper in ruins, I will hunt that worm infested bear down, and I will gut and eat him and then poo him out and eat him again and then vomit him back out and.. yeah!

Merh.. My Half Sister Aurora arrived in Vesper this morning, she'll be a good edition to Vesper, I know of her undercover skills, she could get us lots of information. Though her combat technique needs working on. Also, her first night in Vesper was welcomed with a beating from one of the Winters, Garrett. I managed to catch the !!!!!!! and beat seven shades of !!!! out of him...

That wasn't the end of it, later that day I saw the !!!!!!! again.. He asked me who my fiancé was, and fearing for Madelines saftey, I told him it was Jenny D'Griff. To no suprise, Jenny was attacked and myself, with Madeline, found her and took her to the healers. She patched up pretty well, and we spent most of the day looking after her lil' brat, Alex. Tell you something now, that lil' fella sure can belch..

That wasn't the last we saw of Garrett though, only hours later he was following Madeline and myself, I thought nothing of it, but suddenly he struck - slicing Madelines arm with his bone harvester. Doing what anyone else would, I gave chase! He thought he could piss of Van the Man and get away with it, what a silly sausage.. Nobody pisses Van off and gets away with it, and so I sliced at the back of his legs, dropping him to the ground, and raising my kryss high above my head, I drove it straight into his stomach. I took a poo on him, and I left him for dead.

Thinking that was our excitement over with we headed to the Swaggers.. Few more hours later, Trinsicians came in asking myself and Madeline to go to Trinsic and identify a prisoner as the one who attacked Madeline. How the !!!!!!! hell did he live?! I was furious, I wanted him dead! Dead you hear?! I went to Trinsic, damn right I did! And I looked at the man, and I looked under his shirt! And holy poo poo.. it was him! I didn't know what else to do, so I told Trinsic to allow a public beating and let me get back to some sexy time with my fiancé. It was good.

As if my headache couldn't get any worse, I was reminded that Jenny was still alive.. Not only that, she had now gone crazy. Also noticed Amarante was hurt, but I didn't care enough to find out what happened. I wet for a wee, and returned to find Madeline fighting Jenny for her baby. Yes, at first I was like "Eh?" and then I was like "Hands off my feckin' fiancé!!". And thus, I floored Jenny with my fist. Thats right! I hit a woman! They want equal rights?! Well theres equal rights for ya'! I still dont know why we took the child off Jenny.. something about her wanting to kill the baby, I don't frankly know. Nontheless, the child is with us for the night, although I leave early in the morning for Galilee. I shall miss my Madeline, and my Vesper.
